May 6, 2022 This one hurt a lil with the hype lol. Loved nail tech and first class… rest of the album is just too d--- boring to me. Nothing stands out.
May 6, 2022 He needed better features like Token, but overall I think this is AOTY overall for me. I’m not understanding the hate.
May 6, 2022 Ya I was excited to hear the JT collab, kinda boring. The whole album sounds the same front to back.
May 6, 2022 Do they fill the same niche at all besides being white? Never listened to much Mac (heard most of swimming and some circles, intended to listen to more) maybe he fit that niche in his earlier years since I wouldn't know apart from like a couple songs and features I heard a while back but I don't recognize a similarity, not much in his later work at least.
May 7, 2022 Giving it a first spin. Very very odd that I’m on Movie Star and this bar played just as I was scrolling past this post. Illuminati
May 7, 2022 His nail tech didn't warn everyone about his album being f---ing boring. So... you got to give him that.
May 7, 2022 I liked the features I’ve heard him on, so gave this album a chance. Really bad album, everything sounds the same, full of love songs, monotone and just doesn’t do anything innovative or creative. Rap is in a really bad place with new artists coming through. Only going to get worse with how social media era is.
May 7, 2022 Harlow is going to be like Macklemore... a flash in the pan... where fickle rap fans gas him up to believe he is the greatest then just forget about him. Side note... Ryan Lewis is a real talent and one of my favorite producers.
May 7, 2022 Yeah no offense to Jack cause I like the dude but Mac seemed way more authentic and talented with the music he was making.
May 7, 2022 Ryan Lewis is a great producer, it's a shame all those beats went to Macklemore and he basically doesn't work with anyone else sans a handful of songs as far as I know. Though I think Jack Harlow will have some G-Eazy-level success and will stick around longer than I'd have thought...especially considering the artists he's already working with he's prob bigger than G-Eazy already already. There's a lotta frat boys in the midwest.
May 7, 2022 Alright, im about to give this new harlow album a first spin. His debut album was really good imo, had an amazingly strong middle section. Heard this one wasn't as good though, sort of like a Encore-Eminem situation when you really think about it.
