May 13, 2022 in the 9 hours since this has been out, the stans have already found a way to compare this to every single Eminem album
May 13, 2022 The heist was a better album imo. Not sure why people get all butt hurt about that. Pop Some Tags is the most popular song of all time according to Wikipedia.
May 13, 2022 This is the first Kendrick album since Overly Dedicated not to have a concept Unless I’m missing it
May 13, 2022 So what's everyone's favourite tracks on the album? I'm about to give it a second listen now before I come up with a final verdict on it
May 13, 2022 d--- bro you definitely must be deaf. You just understand it yet, but you will. I do t want to give it away.
May 13, 2022 He's obviously referred to as Mr morale at a few points and there's stomping (big steppers obviously) at the beginning/ending of some tracks with certain angelic d--- like vocals that have the same cadence with different lyrics at different points in the album. A lot of I'd seems to be therapy related but there's definitely something to connect here, I'm gonna let other people do it for me tho lmfao
May 13, 2022 Every song is incredible. Tons of classics but definitely Worldwide choppers Rich Savior interlude We Cry together Silent Hill/Resident Evil ---
May 13, 2022 I pressed play after dropping my son at daycare, listened to 4 tracks before getting back home. Went to look up production credits and realized Apple Car Play had it on shuffle and I listened out of sequence. d---.
May 13, 2022 Maybe that's the concept, to play it out of order and that's why it feel disjointed sometimes. I've cracked the code. Kendrick is literally Jesus, "NATION." Coming soon
May 13, 2022 If Revival is the most introspective Em album, then I'm right. You guys act as if you wanna hear content, artist talkin' his mind, life etc. but in reality all you care is the beat lol. Btw, Revival is not Em's most introspective album anyway. Sure there were personal songs, songs that he gave his views on racism, Trump, politics etc. but his earlier work had as much introspective s--- as Revival if not more. And again, I never opposed that argument. I agree this album lacked those vibey tracks. I mean it has a vibe but not that you would bump your head and make little dancey moves to. I also said this barely has any replay value mines the few songs such as Die Hard. But that doesn't make the album bad one. You said it was too introspective for your taste in the previous post and now you are saying you didn't like it because of the sound of it, no songs to vibe etc. If you said that in the beginning I wouldn't have said s--- anyway. Lol.
May 13, 2022 I'm sure this will take a few listens to get into, but after the first listen it's kind of mid. Def enjoyed Pusha's much more after the first spin
May 13, 2022 Lol. It's amazing how ignorant people are. If that's a joke, ok. But if it's not, too bad there are still ignorant people out there. Yet they probably jump on the wagon when someone is being cancelled for saying fa---- or some politically incorrect word lol. So many idiots lol.
May 13, 2022 I enjoyed the first listen but there’s no way I can fairly judge it after one spin - but also wasn’t as great first listen as GKMC, TPAB & d--- I think this album will be appreciated more in time, and people are overreacting now. It’s incredibly difficult to live up to the plaudits of his previous releases. That’s why it took him 5 years, and he probably overthought it. Definitely a grower; some really great tracks
May 13, 2022 The angelic lyrics and Kodak are the only constants that I’ve picked up on... but definitely the loosest concept of any of his albums. Maybe if you break it up into 2 discs it’s more apparent
May 13, 2022 Kendrick must have had a falling out with the black hippy crew, only explanation I can think of why Kodak is all over the album when it could’ve been Q or Soul
