Just because you are mentally ill doesn't mean everyone in Australia is mentally ill.

I don't think a work visa is too hard to get, but I think you need a sponsor/reference via someone living permanently in Australia. Afaik the government is happy for you to come to Aus and work and pay taxes. Free healthcare is grouse. But stuff like food is stupid expensive compared to other 1st worlds. We're also on average highest consumer of alcohol by country, but also the highest price of alcohol on average per country. Citizenship is pretty difficult to get from what i hear unless you're from NZ or you marry an Aus resident

I'm 28 in Victoria, work in somewhat big box retailer, I own my place with my GF. You can easily get bread cheap still, even my premium bread is only $8. I also get to buy myself pot whenever I want I just don't go out or drink. My only real beef is having to pay GST on international ebay puchases.

Yeah it's all this type of s--- that pisses me the f--- off. It's all small almost negligible things, but it's across the board. Like half the "australian" beer here is owned and brewed by south East Asian breweries, or majority shareholders are Chinese lol then import taxes/gst/profiteering raises things like alcohol through the roof and I don't even f---ing know what kind of s--- exports Aus has going for it atm apart from mining resources (half is probs coal).

We got it good but f--- moi, liberal government did like f--- all and just watched everything slowly go to s--- over the past 10 yrs. Now my premium unleaded bread costs $12 a loaf

Well you should. I’d be willing to get shot first if you weren’t packing and the opps try gunning you. The police would rather you get shot first, just so maybe they can build a case on the shooter, for example. Cops don’t save lives. You never know when and where these random shootings can happen. Better to be safe than sorry is what I learned.

Especially if you ever had a gun drawn on you and the dude actually shoots. If others had a similar situation, id bet they would want a piece to legally carry. It took some years after that to realize that’s the root cause I started carrying. With the help of a professional that made me take ptsd test and s---.

This is what happens when a culture based on a romanticized ideal of "freedom" pimps that notion of freedom and entitlement nonstop, for generations. People believe they're really entitled to anything they want because the whole government says so. The culture is one of self-importance.

Most colonizing cultures seize land and expand in pretty much the same ways, so it wasn't an aberration of history or anything when the US was invaded and colonized by genocide. Taking what they want (entitlement) and destroying whoever was in their way (Native Americans), setting the precedent for having your own way.

The technological sophistication that added nuclear weapons to our military arsenal and won the 2nd world war fed that sense of superiority. The Me-Me-Me philosophy appeared to succeed globally when the nuclear bombs dropped on Japan ended WW2. Such a young country, ending the big bad war the entire rest of the world couldn't! We must be better than you all!

And what sets the US apart from other countries? That notion of freedom. People flocked to the US because it made a promise of equality to any citizen (false, but that's another post). So everyone wants to be here, too, leaving all those other places! We really are The Best!

The worst of the social problems we see today (violence institutional and individual) started when that individual all-importance mindset infected businesses practices. The big divide is the "haves" and the "have nots." Money and power makes you a "have." Lack of either makes you a "have not.".

Politics are money, and guns are politics, *and* money, AND an instant superficial sort of power.

The thinking behind it is "If I can have what you have and I don't have it, then you're better than me so I hate you and everything you stand for, which includes this society I can't be a part of, so f--- you all with this AR 15. HERE is my power."

I don’t see the problem. I know you’re trolling, at this point. No teachers are unloading on class rooms. We see what happens when you let school police try and protect, they get scared and stay outside while a mentally unstable 18 year old runs inside with multiple AR’s. Yeah they’re much more trustworthy than teachers who are underpaid for the bs they have to put up with.

My students are university students, so there's a decent chance some of them are also carrying.

I'm obviously not armed in the classroom.

Dude you’re crazy. One student could lose it and think they’re just playing GTA. If you get the bodyguard style .380 with its specific case where u can still s---t it, it just looks like a phone in your pocket.
