Jun 12, 2022 this is both insufficient to address gun violence in the U.S. but also way more than I thought was possible. If passed, this would the first gun control legislation to pass through Congress in 30 years! Pretty big accomplishment for the Biden administration who emphasized they would pursue bipartisanship when possible. I don’t think it’s a coincidence either that none of the 10 Republican senators who negotiated this deal are up for re-election this November.
Jun 12, 2022 Oh I wish mr Biden the best I really do .i think we are not doing so good here in the USA it breaks my heart my heart to see all these new folks with no homes and it's just a shame because Mr trump was doing a fine job . No one has anything to spare at all anymore it seems .oh I don't know maybe some one here can help me out a little just for a meal a cold beer would do I suppose
Jun 13, 2022 1. Universal Background Checks 2. Firearm Registry 3. Federal Red Flag law 4. Federal Mandatory Waiting Period A decade of these four laws being in place & enforced; & we would see a significant decrease in firearm related deaths.
Jun 17, 2022 classic biden thread missing all his greatest accomplishments, another B for Ukraine..push the button joe
Jun 23, 2022 it’s not often I agree with Marco Rubio but he’s correct on this one. Suspending the gas tax is dumb.
Jun 23, 2022 If Joe Biden is for something... the Republicans are against it... even if it's the most Republican idea ever
Jun 23, 2022 Can’t wait for the inevitable blowback of chucking unlimited amounts of weapons into criminal infested Eastern Europe without accounting, what could possibly go wrong? It’s not like the Middle East ‘intervention’ was a valuable historical lesson.
Jun 24, 2022 The alternative is the U.S. doesn’t provide Ukraine with military aid & Russia imposes a puppet leader to rule over the country while stretching their control further into Europe. Not exactly the better option.
Jun 24, 2022 Wait…do you not believe that it is/was Russia’s goal to topple the Ukrainian government & install a puppet government?
Jun 24, 2022 Never said that. Just teasing you on your Cold War scaremongering rhetoric as if that justifies the US meddling in sovereign nations halfway across the world. They’ve funnelled millions of dollars into Ukraine since the collapse of the USSR, but historical context doesn’t matter when it opposes your imperial worldview.
Jun 24, 2022 Just to be very clear, you agree that: 1) Russia invaded Ukraine with the intention of overthrowing their government & instituting a puppet government 2) European + U.S. military aid has been key toward Ukraine being able to thwart off the Russian invasion Without 2, 1 happens certainly which is *bad.*
Jul 5, 2022 Shut up. You don't even live there or near it. Nothing even about Russian imperialism lol.
Jul 20, 2022 Not as expansive a bill as needed but a good start! I think there’s a good chance the same-sex marriage bill passes the Senate! 47 House Republicans (who are generally more conservative than Senate Republicans) voted to codify same-sex marriage in federal law. A lot more than I expected tbh. I really hope this passes but I’ll hold my breathe until McConnell gives the green light. Just need 10 Republicans in the Senate to override a filibuster.
