Aug 5, 2022 Is This Love is 100% rerecorded verses, sounds nothing like his 09 voice - the hook sounds like they kept it from the 09 sessions tho.
Aug 5, 2022 and that’s fine with me. Vocals sound great. wish they’d have just dropped it without the “09” I’m sure he’ll give us some info on the song soon
Aug 5, 2022 Surprisingly good actually. He should go back and rerecord all old unreleased songs, seems like its the only way he can flow properly - cause his voice is obviously still capable of sounding entertaining and fresh
Aug 5, 2022 d---, It is so strange they didn't use the single version of Nowhere Fast with the additional verse.
Aug 5, 2022 they didn't even put Is This Love on Rap Caviar or any major playlist, on Apple It's low as f--- NMD and only on 3 playlists
Aug 5, 2022 Okay, first of all, I'M NOT TROLLING! But if CC2 follows the logic of Curtain Call: The Hits from 2005, not only we had all of the Just Lose It and all of the singles from the 99-04 era, but after buying CC2, it has Crack A Bottle on CD2 but no We Made You?? I mean where's the fckn logic in all that? No Forever as it's a Drake track from an OST, no All She Wrote cuz it's cheaper to have a Yela track on it... but as far as singles, We Made You was the song that you couldn't get away from back in 2009... It was like "look! Em is back doing what he's been known to do album after album, after My Name Is, The Real Slim Shady, Purple Pills, Without Me, My Band, Just Lose It and now... We Made You!" and now that CC2 gets out, I just noticed the fact that I could do without a couple of tracks that's on there to be honest (Nowhere Fast, Kings Never Die...) but if you're gonna include Crack A Bottle, 3 a.m., Beautiful... Why not We Made You? (I love the fact that we got that '09 track with 50 though, but seeing how much that song would rotate on the radio back in '09, how much the music video would be played all the time... They've decided not to include it, alright, just weird..." I know that the first CC didn't feature stuff like 'Till I Collapse as at the time it was way different, the singles had such an importance... but I can see that nowadays it ain't really the fact. This thread is not to judge if We Made You is a good or a bad track, it's just, considering its own history... Also no Framed neither... it was like the ONE single that halped Revival not sink even lower in 2K17! Anyways like I said I'm not here to say whether We Made You is a good or a bad track, same for Framed, Forever or All She Wrote, so please don't find my address and start sending me Anthrax filled mail you crazy mfs!! Peace y'all!
Aug 5, 2022 “IS THIS LOVE” is his best release since Relapse, Man I f---ing LOVE THIS SONG!!!!! That hook!!!
Aug 5, 2022 Till I Collapse wasn't really hit or as popular as it was today back in the days. You're right about We Made You. He probably hates that track and didn't wanna include it. 3 a.m. being there as a unsuccessful Relapse single and even more unsuccessful not even single tracks he put on that album is very very illogical. Only explanation is that Em hates it. It had heavy accents and it wasn't really that good of a fun song at all.
Aug 5, 2022 Whyd Em stain Is This Love with his non-accented, 50 year old damaged vocals? that 2nd verse flow though jesus f---ing christ
Aug 5, 2022 I think “This is Love” was gonna be the lead single instead of “We Made You” I just get lead single vibes from it… who knows, maybe even a Relapse 2 first single, but f--- me, I love this track! back then this song would be EVERYWHERE!!!!!?
Aug 5, 2022 Oh, I get it! Won't Back Down, Cinderella Man, You're Never Over, Farewell = Stan's Mixtape.
