Nov 12, 2022 I’m surprised at how popular the song got in the past few years, but I’m not mad at it. I like the song a lot more now than I did in 2016. I still think Starboy is one of his weaker albums though
Nov 13, 2022 one of the weekend's biggest inspirations is Prince. Purple Rain is probably Prince's most well-known album. on that album there is a song called "I Would Die 4 U" i wonder if The Weeknd was thinking of Prince when he crafted his song Die For You
Nov 13, 2022 Starboy is still a good album, it’s just that I think all of his other albums are better. It has some songs that I feel are redundant and sound like weaker versions of other songs. It definitely had some filler in my opinion, so did Beauty Behind the Madness. I get it though with those being his first two albums in the mainstream basically. He hit a new stride with My Dear Melancholy and After Hours That’s definitely a possibility, although I feel like Die For You is a common song title
Nov 26, 2022 Yessir happy to know somebody else sees the light, funny enough these are both things I didn't know I'd like. With Telapatia I never really enjoyed Spanish music like that growing up but I can see that changing especially if they're all this smooth. And with Big Thief I didn't expect to like their country esque Fleetwood Mac vibe but for an hour and a half long album it slaps. Perfect dissociation music lmao
