Degrom is way above Verlander for a franchise pitcher now is what I meant. No one is taking that cy young serious when he was on a team encouraged to cheat and their pitchers getting tossed about 10 times for cheating in one season. I think verlander got caught last year but wiped the sticky substance on his pants quick. You can’t be happy degrom is gone, come on Tone.

Woooow I save my pills for this game and Ohtani isn’t even the SP? The owners must have forced this to make it fair for the states. Why the f--- would you not play Alonso as DH when Kyle is batting under .200

Ohtani batting .450 with ease, and just got purposely walked. Judge sure isn’t batting .450 and doesn’t get walked near as much as Ohtani. Because the league doesn’t view Judge as much of a threat. The US would play dirty just walking Ohtani but pitch to everyone else. This could be a scripted game tbh.

Wow what a way to end the tournament with an Ohtani vs Trout strikeout

I'm not necessarily happy that he's gone but I'm also not surprised whatsoever. And I think most Mets fans have moved on. DeGrom gave the team his best years, so he took the payday that he wanted and deserved and that's that. The reality is he's an elite pitcher when he's not hurt. But he's been hurt a lot lately.

Okay, now that I got my refills, it’s time to list the facts and unleash. You do realize Verlander played 1 game in 2020, got hurt then was out all of 2021 and is 40. Degrom is 34 and never missed multiple seasons from an injury. I already researched these facts, before posting. The fact you even think this was a reasonable trade is as delusional as Worm thinking Arod was a great 3B.

This is also a guy that encouraged a 4 on 1 beating to a citizen who’s just a troll.

I think you got refills of the wrong thing. It wasn't a trade, deGrom has had health issues the past couple of years and last year in particular was troubling. He's already shown health issues this year and the season hasn't even started. Verlander is a major risk of course, I'm not denying that. And so is Scherzer had health issues too. But Verlander and Scherzer are expensive short term deals while deGrom wanted similar money and a longer term deal.

You’re right. The doc forgot to tell me to take some shots with my benzos. You just don’t get it. You must have never played in semi pro baseball. In 6th grade I was throwing a strikeout slider. By 9th it was just as good as verlanders curve tbh. And you’re admitting that Verlander is a huge risk and degrom isn’t a huge risk. Kind of hypocritical.

What part of New York you from or what set do you rep? I saw you posting about shady Dominican ties. You a Latin King?

Yeah Judge homers his first at bat. They’ll never test him for PED’s suspiciously

They’re both risks, in fact now Verlander is hurt. But Verlander is a short term risk compared to deGrom who was looking for more years on his deal.

I’m not affiliated with any sets.

Yeah if Cole gets anymore strikeouts this early I’m breaking my tv. He didn’t do this kind of s--- for the pirates.

Lol, totally didn’t see this coming. A hamstring injury I saw yesterday already placed on the IL. The first day of the year, yet Degrom had 7 strikeouts. He threw two pitches that topped 100 mph, and averaging 98.5 mph on his fastball. His slider even had a higher spin rate than his average over the past year. He got hit a little earlier on, but it looks like he just needed to get some rust off.

I’m starting to feel clowned out tbh. You can’t admit when you obviously lost an argument, opening day. I’m starting to wonder if this is another @Slyk or worm alias.

The argument about verlander being a better, more trustworthy opening season starter than Degrom at 34. While already hurt lolol I truly think you’re FURIOUS about it. Like when Ibacked Worm into his corner again.

I’d maybe take a risk at Verlander at 40 on the pirates, but that’s about it.

You son of a b----. Enough sarcasm replies. That’s close to thread derailment breaking the rules. Don’t think I forgot about the s--- talk from you and redsoxx after pirates one arguably fluke season.

You guys will see. Pirates 1-1 so far this year.

It's impossible for me to be furious about deGrom, especially since he's been hurt too. He more than likely is hurt now or will be. Verlander at 40 was always going to be an injury risk and Scherzer has already proven to be an injury risk. They're all old. But Verlander and Scherzer are short term.

Mets got their a--- handed to them. I bet fans like tone riggz are pissed letting a 34 year old Degrom go now. I know when I was a Mets fan, I’d be throwing s--- at the dugout. But big tone had to ruin it.

Placed a small parlay on Berrios and Johan to each get 5 strikeouts. It’ll help attempt to watch the pirates game at least. My dad got real lucky betting on Reynolds to hit a HR last game and actually happened. Soto and Stanton screwed me betting on a home run a few times and haven’t since.
