So I've been like realizing that my albums s--- no matter what I do. s--- isn't a word I'd use but nobody seems interested and I've been doing everything, making music for me, going wild with the production, going wild with the verses. No matter what I do, I always end up in the same situation, I feel like Jamie Kennedy in Malibu's Most Wanted, I feel like I'll never make the honest music that I want.

So @Ripper Roo, you've been listening to my work and your critique is good. You also got a good grasp on hip-hop music as a whole (especially the modern scene). So tell me, in your most honest words, how do I improve my work. I don't need no jokes, all I need is 1,000% honesty.

The best way to get better as an artist, Producer, Writer, rapper or vocalist is to create. Sounds cheesy and basic advice, but it’s true. The more I produce and mix the better I get. You also have to start finding a community of creatives similar to you. You can learn so much more from people online and in spaces where independent artists are doing the same thing as you. Find what is lacking; Promotion, Direction, Mixing, Mastering, or even brainstorming lyrics. The more you practice music, the better you get.

I haven’t listened to the music you tagged me in yet. I have to ask though: What exactly do you want from making music? Why do you make music? Do you want this to be a career or is this just a hobby you want to be really good at? Is the money, the power, the fame, or the respect more important to you?

I treat this as a hobby, an art project.
I don't do it for the money, power or fame. Used to want respect but I learned you can't get respect unless you sell your soul.
I do this because it's a fun project for me, actually making something, going down the hard work and sacrifice path and learning how to make music from scratch. I want to make at least one album that people like, not for respect but to feel like I did something.

You didn't ask me but since you made a thread publicly admitting what a failure you are instead of DMing Ripper Roo, anyone is obviously free to give their two cents. Here's mine:

And what's your hobby? Haunting a forum that's ruthlessly run you off multiple times like a tortured soul lingering in purgatory, an apt analogy considering you're invisible as a ghost at this point? Forgotten like an old joke :'(

I've been through more bs than you could ever imagine, Null has been through bs that you could never imagine, you are nothing to me, you have never had a life outside this forum, there are people on this forum who have a life whether it's through their discussion of sports, hip-hop or TV shows. You have never found any benefit here, have you ever tried finding yourself in the kiwi farms, I hear the cows these days are plentiful and ripe for the picking?

If you do continue on, just know that you will never matter in the sites history no matter how hard you try. I haven't seen you anywhere else, only here. are you really that menacing?

Oh sorry, I was giving you attention. Nobody will remember you, you will post looking for attention but all you getting is the fish from the Eminem section. I will not be part of the flock no more, people should stand up to this bully who is ruining the site with his pointless beef and petty fights.

Like my boy Namikaze up there said, just keep making s---. Even if you do nothing with it. Just make it. And keep making it.
It took me years and years to get to a point where people are somewhat interested in my stuff.
Also working closely with other artists or friends that will give valuable and honest feedback.
The difference those things can make is phenomenal, I listened to my first song I ever recorded the other day and not let me tell you I couldn’t get through 20 seconds of it without laughing at myself and asking who let me do that.
Compared to my latest music I been working on it’s insane.

Imma be honest, your stuff sounds straight out of the 80s. I skimmed through your “The New Normal” album and each song uses that same 80s flow. Since you wanna modernize your s---, I recommend varying your flows more often. You also deliver most of your lines in that same cadence, that could use some variation as well. Try playing with your voice more, making it go higher and lower. Put some more sad emotion into your voice when rapping sad lines, that kind of thing. Your music isn’t terrible, but it needs variety. Try listening to modern lyrical rappers like JID, Denzel Curry, etc. I think you’d like their styles and could use it a bit as inspirations in your beats, flows, and deliveries.
