    Someone needs to explain to me how is it possible for a team like England with all these top players to play like this? I just can't understand it

    Against Slovenia first shot on target in the 95 minute, now 0 shots on target. Also at a point in the first half England had an attacking freekick and they passed the ball from there down to their own goalkeeper. I have never seen something like that in a while.

    Their manager is the footballing antichrist. Ridiculously s---, cowardly and defensive. His mentality and ineptitude seeps onto the pitch.

    He's been there for 8 years, and in every tournament except for the last WC where they played France in the quarter finals - they have had the easiest draws imaginable. In that time they reached one final and now two semi finals.

    He and the media see that as a "success", so he continues to play the same way despite the massive talent at his disposal. So it's a mixture of incredible luck and individual moments of quality that keep getting them into the later rounds of the tournaments.

    Blaming it all on the manager is a bit too easy when England tried it with tons of more experienced and successful ones and failed way harder. And their players were almost always very talented and playing in successful teams, so not like the current generation is that special. They are a bit like Tottenham of national teams.
