And I said it's because we're too afraid that if he did indeed k--- Slim Shady forever in order to move on to a new chapter in his artistry, we're all too afraid that once he lets go of that part we all love so much, it's going to sound too much like Revival.
Jul 13, 2024 Recovery and MMLP2 sound nothing alike. The vocal and delivery of MMLP2 like you mention sound closer to Revival than they do Recovery. MMLP2 is what started it all as far as choppy flows.
Jul 13, 2024 I think a lot of it was to do with the bad reactions to ShadyXV, Kings Never Die, Phenomenal, Campaign Speech & his features around that time. People wanted him to change, but he took it as “okay they want me to not be as intricate” so he made formulaic ballads & tapped into some fresh political content too but made sure to give everyone something so to speak, which ended up coming across as a jack of all trades, but a master of none. He’s quite tasteless so if he misreads the consensus it can backfire massively lol.

Jul 13, 2024 but that's the thing, Revival was him going BACK, not trying something new, he was trying to copy himself from 2010 - 2015, not go in a new direction as for retirement, I'd be fine if he retires after this one but it's not like I WANT him to, if he has nothing else in him then he shouldn't force it imo, if he DOES then bring it on and we'll see how it goes, he can f--- up by experimenting and that's fine, but I want him to at least try

Jul 13, 2024 Section 80 reactions “I hate it because he didn’t listen to my comments about a specific song or flow I wanted” “his voice bothered me” “I hated revival but wanted more emotional songs” lol. I been on this site for a long time (studioleaks day) but rarely comment. But I saw a few comments saying stay away from this site when the album drops because of the negativity. Wow they were right.
