Aug 30, 2024 And then make up a story to justify this like it wasn't the plan all along lol. Should go into politics
Aug 30, 2024 It was the plan. Artists be back on the deluxe bandwagon, especially her. She did it for her last album too
Aug 30, 2024 That Jessie Ware song is better than most of Dua Lipa’s new album lmao what a disappointment that thing was.
Aug 30, 2024 At least it’s not as mediocre as her first album. Some songs from that “Dua Lipa” album pop up in my queue every now and then and annoy the h--- out of me
Aug 30, 2024 Tbf the last two Jessie Ware albums are better than most mainstream pop imo, I haven't even listened to to the last Dua Lipa album because even with me liking the singles I can already tell there's a lot of wasted potential for having Kevin Parker producing your album
Aug 30, 2024 I went back to it, really like a few album cuts on it like Falling Forever & These Walls.
Aug 30, 2024 I suppose it was unrealistic to expect another album as good as Future Nostalgia. That was really a lightning in a bottle moment
Aug 30, 2024 Yeah to me it’s a more “grown up” & cleaner sound of the same ideas. It’s never going to hit the same. But I still enjoy a lot of it, after the disappointing first listen, the same thing happened with Dawn FM for me. I just think Dua is a one-dimensional pop star, at least she writes her own music.
Aug 30, 2024 I loved Dawn FM on first listen and it’s only gotten better to me with age. I need The Weeknd’s new album expeditiously. I agree that Dua is one-dimensional, I honestly wonder what she even has left in her at this point. My wording is a bit harsh though, I still liked Radical Optimism despite my disappointment. I think she could’ve done better though. I think the album was like a 6 or 7 to me when it could’ve been an 8. I only listened to it around 5 times in the surrounding weeks that it came out though, I’ll revisit it eventually
