Sep 8, 2024 Stalking isn’t cool, Michael Myers. I thought you learned that lesson from your other movies
Sep 8, 2024 Was pretty good, some random decisions when they could've done some things better but it was still a fun time. 8/10
Sep 9, 2024 Aight; as usual I always start halfway september and (re)watch classic and new horror movies. Ending on Halloween, obviously saving the absolute classics and Hallowern movies for the last few days. Kinda started this weekend with Mr Harrigans Phone. Today its gonna be The Deliverance (s/o @Marsh @pHiLLip fARkLe ) and Abigail!
Sep 9, 2024 The Deliverance Okay, I'm kinda conflicted on this one. I kinda get what @Marsh meant with the "black people" things that happened. Not that it bothered me at all. The mother was a real b---- especially at first (great and beautiful actress though!) but later on I kinda felt bad for her. Still think the character, same as the grandma, were kinda badly written. The movie never really decides if its a horror movie or a drama. It seems like its wants to be a Conjuring or Insidious type of movie, but it doesn't even come close to being as scary. Its too slow for that and if focusses more on the abuse and trauma than the scary stuff. The whole 'deliverance' s--- just to not be called Exorcist was really corny lol. Same as that apostel woman. I think it has some good elements and has potential, but the corny parts and the dialogues "go to bed little MFer" to a 8 year old kid are kinda bad. The climax was also stupid imo A decent movie, but not something I'd watch again. 5/10
Sep 9, 2024 it’s the way she reacts in the beginning that kills me. Most Netflix movies are a 5/10 or less, you kinda know what you’re getting into possessed grandma was priceless though
Sep 9, 2024 Watched The Trap yesterday, it’s not scary but it was kinda entertaining, even if it’s a bit silly sometimes.
Sep 9, 2024 Yeah the whole dialogue is so weird lol. Makes it kinda hard to feel sorry for them. Possessed grandma was so corny yet funny lmao Sometimes NF has great ones though. The Fear Street trilogy is great. Gonna watch the first part again this afternoon, but first Carrie
Sep 9, 2024 Thinner I had this movie on video and seen it a few times, like 10-15 years ago. Ordered the dvd a few weeks back. It's a movie based on a Stephen King story: a fat guy runs over a gipsy woman by accident. Well, he was getting a blo-jo- and didn't pay attention. Because he's a lawyer with friends in high places he doesn't get convicted. After the trial the gipsy's husband puts a curse on him and the judge & police officer that covered for him. He loses weight very fast and has to stop it before he dies. It's not really a horror movie to be but pretty amusing. Love seeing Joe Mantega be a bad guy, since I mostly know him as Rossi from Criminal Minds. Nothing special, but it's still fun for me. 6/10 Carrie (2013) A nice mix of a high school douchebags movie and some supernatural horror. Chloë does an amazing job playing Carrie, and I love how the story builds up. The anger and confusion, but also her powers that develop during the movie. Even if she turns evil its hard not to feel for her, happy the people responsible get what they deserve. Wish she had a better ending though. 7/10
Sep 9, 2024 I should watch a horror movie everyday of October, i have Terrifier 2 for Oct 2, Terrifier 3 for Oct 11, and OG Halloween for the 31st. I should get to thinking of some classics and some I haven’t seen to fill up the month
Sep 9, 2024 I’m thinking of watching the A Nightmare on Elm Street franchise in full for the first time as well as rewatching the Scream franchise
