    To be fair, MJ wasn’t exactly in his prime when that collaboration was attempted in the late 90’s.

    Has anyone come across these?


    The page has a mix of known Detox leaks with Dre’s vocals as well as a some of the most Dre-esque skeleton instrumentals (without vocals) I’ve ever heard.

    Whomever posted these doesn’t seem interested in self-promotion, and (even as skeletons) these beats are put together with a level of sophistication beyond the reach of a typical YouTube or SoundCloud producer. Many sound like an “updated version of 2001”, as characterized by multiple Dre collaborators.

    I suspect some of these skeletons are the real deal. Likely made by in-house Aftermath producers (e.g., Focus, Dem Jointz) with the intention that the horns and reeds would be played live during the studio session.

    Good interview!

    Highlights:
    Dre loves performing with Snoop. When they're performing Snoop is the leader but when they're in the studio Dre is the leader

    Dre & Snoop are bumping heads over if Snoop's album should be 14 or 16 tracks. Snoop wants 16, Dre wants 14. I read that as Dre is trying to cut the filler.

    Dre will only have one verse on the album

    They're really enjoying making the music

    They've fully mixed 11 of the 14/16 tracks

    They have until the 1st Sept to have it fully mixed and mastered ready for a November release

    Dre legitimately wants to try out for the Olympics in 2028 as an archer

    Olympic closing ceremony was filed a day before in Long Beach

    Great interview. Stood out to me that Dre has never talked about any of his production on Detox with this level of enthusiasm.

    This is the only disappointing bit:

    Which one? The new Topless verse? If not then probably not. Dre leaks don't seem to arrive with any fanfare so they're too easy to miss.

    Dr. Dre Plans to Try Out for 2028 Olympics

    On Tuesday (Aug. 13), Dr. Dre sat down for an interview with Entertainment Tonight to discuss the 2028 Olympics, which will be held in Los Angeles. Dr. Dre performed with Snoop Dogg in Long Beach, Calif. to close out the Olympics this past Sunday. During the conversation, Dre said he fully plans on trying out for archery when the 2028 Olympic Games come to Los Angeles.

    "Archery," "I'm deadass serious."

    Dre added that he is actually quite the experienced archer, and thinks he has a shot at competing. "I actually started archery in junior high," he said. "I stopped for a while, and my son bought me a setup, I don't know if was for my birthday or Father’s Day or something like that. So I have it set up in my backyard. I heard that qualifying for the Olympics is 77 feet, and I practice at 90. Wouldn't that be interesting to go, especially with it being here in L.A., and win the gold medal?"

    Dre concluded by saying, "I feel like I can do anything."
