Oct 10, 2024 Black Christmas (1974) I really liked this one! Christmas horror is becoming a new favorite for me, and there were a couple classics I felt I needed to watch before Terrifier 3, as I figured the film would be heavily inspired by these. Hopefully it leans more toward this and SN,DN1 and not the s--- show that was SN,DN2. I doubt T3 will have half the movie be a recap of T2 though. Anyways, I digress. Black Christmas was a legitimately creepy movie. Idk what it was about horror in the 70’s, but they knew what to do. I can’t imagine how it felt to be a horror fan in ‘74 when this and Texas Chainsaw released. The sound design of this movie is what got me the most. Everything sounds truly horrifying. The phone ringing over the credits at the end too…shivers down my spine. Early slashers really had that creep factor to it that you don’t really see with many slashers these days. Really enjoyed this film and glad I didn’t find it to be overrated! And as I said in a previous message, it was nice to see John Saxon in a non Elm Street movie, rest in peace! Final random tidbit, I can’t believe the director Bob Clark went on to do A Christmas Story and…Porky’s??? Oct 11, 2024 I see what you’re saying. The first Joker movie was supposed to be a one off but then it made a billion dollars so of course they made another one. I guess you could just pretend Joker 2 doesn’t exist lol idk
