Tyler doesn’t do it for me. Weird and experimental just for the sake of being weird and experimental. Doesn’t feel natural like Andre 3000, Kool Keith, Danny Brown, Lil B or Busta from back in the day. It’s like he feels he has to do all these costumes and new characters or he’s not progressing as an artist. I dunno, just seems forced. I knew that St. Chroma snippet video would be “artsy” before I clicked on it.

And the lyrics on it? Woof. Nothing creative, substantive or memorable in his bars. It’s style, aesthetic and “weirdness” over substance. It’s like he knows his bars are weak so he whispers his raps to be different. s----s wack.

It’s a wet dream for critics though. They eat this faux artsy s--- up.

I never cared for him. I remember all the mess he kept up on Twitter and tumblr (anti-Black stuff, homophobia only to later come out *eyeroll *, just corny edgelord shock value crap) his rebrand has been interesting. And the music sucks.

But d---, this is exactly how I’m feeling… this whole situation just made me realize even more how corny these hip hop journalists and YouTubers are lol, I don’t take none of them n----s serious. how is you mad at a man for making his own decision?? I can see feeling some type of way at first, but to still be in your feelings bout it, that’s some goofy s--- lol

    One of the comments…..

IMO the main issue is that the online obsessed nerds view Cole (and other rappers) as a product and feel entitled to getting entertained by them. So when Cole makes a mature and human decision, they lash out at him for "robbing" them of further entertainment by trying to drag him into the mud. Like if we take a step back and look at this situation as real people, making a whole song about how much you hate someone else is the corniest s--- I've ever heard of and if 2 of my friends started doing that to each other there's no way I'm joining in
