    And his (business) partner (Dave?) started it back up and it flopped hard. There's always wayback machine.

    Oh wow, wow.

    Same here. I started coming maybe in April/May of 2002? It was right at the time the Eminem show hooks leaked 4 weeks before RNS/Glover ripped it.

    Hahaha good time. Fun fact : I never referred to it as RapBasement. Mainly, I didn't even realize they changed names since I kept the same dark blue skin.

    I think even longer than that. They reopened again years ago and it immediately was full of bots talking to each other and now you can't even reach the site so it's shut down

    RapBasement was Derty Jason and Derty Dave. I forget Dave's real name. He did background site admin stuff and seldom ever posted. I always felt badly I was banned from RB before the end. It would have been nice to sign in again and see the board before it fully shut down. All I have left now are good memories, and most of the original Monk exposure thread, which I downloaded and saved. Happy to share a link if anyone wants it.

    lol It was a news site for Snoop related things. I started following it when he was trying to leave Death Row and they posted bootlegs. I think they posted unfinished Forgot About Dre and Kim both ~6 months before the albums came out.

    I’m late on this because I haven’t been on in a bit. I got married last month and have been pretty busy, but super grateful for this forum and the StudioLeaks transition. Cheers to this community and all those who contributed to make it happen.
