Feb 5, 2025 at 11:11 AM They're 2 weeks apart but I hope Superman and FF both do very well, I need a change in superhero films to become filmmaker first again. I'm sick of s--- looking like Superbowl commercials give me directors with a vision
Feb 5, 2025 at 11:27 AM Man, dude can look weird in the comics but on screen Nathan looks horrible lmao, and Superman looks like some random dude, less epic than previews ones. I love Rocket so Guardians 3 will join my MCU collection one day.
Feb 5, 2025 at 11:31 AM We will soon, as there is a rumor that the X-Men reboot director will be announced in July at comic con, same weekend as the F4 movie comes out. Top rumor is Jordan Peele will direct it
Feb 5, 2025 at 12:00 PM Superman and F4 hype are even more proof superhero fatigue isnt real just stop releasing mediocre s---
Feb 5, 2025 at 12:01 PM No Guy Gardener is supposed to look like a shitter it fits his character, Superman has always been played by lesser known actors at that time in their career and "looking like a random dude" is inherently good for the character he's supposed to look like a regular guy that's the point! I'm hoping for a more personal Superman story and considering the inspirations of the movie being incredible books like All-star Superman, Superman for all seasons, What's So Funny About Truth Justice And The American Way, Kingdome Come etc. gives me hope for the tone of the movie.
Feb 5, 2025 at 2:04 PM Multiple seasons of a show vs a 2min trailer with no dialogue is an incredible comparison to make
Feb 5, 2025 at 3:05 PM Haha And yeah so true. People were just over saturated with the same old same old every other month. Put a good script, actual cinematic visuals and characters that people want to see more of. Stop the corporate streaming of constant content and just tell characters drama’s and heroisms.
Feb 5, 2025 at 3:09 PM And I been saying it. Marvel just needed to make the movies feel like must see in theaters events again, with strong writing and making us care for the characters. That 2 minute trailer has made Fantastic Four popular again for the first time in like a decade or more. lol and It barely showed thier powers. More proof people what to get to know the world and characters more then just flashy cgi action scenes
Feb 5, 2025 at 4:05 PM The borderline abuse they do to visual effects artists is so gross, they need to storyboard and pre-vis their movies correctly instead of changing entire acts at the last second and leaving the vfx teams to figure it out
Feb 5, 2025 at 4:07 PM Do whatever you want man I'm just excited to (hopefully) see a version of a misrepresented character theatrically treated correctly!
Feb 5, 2025 at 4:10 PM I completely agree a bunch of s--- is green screen when they could just use actual locations, sets, makeup etc. making 20 projects at the same time and spreading teams thin is also a big issue. Say what you will about the writing of the movies or whatever but the Avatar movies take their sweet a--- time and they look all the better for it. Making people miss something is also a lost art, no need to flood your own market with 72 bad tv shows
Feb 5, 2025 at 4:10 PM The series back in the day was great, this looks mid but I don't really care now that they ruined their universe tbh. Now Batman 2, that could be good... even if he's not a good Batman compared to most of the previous ones...
Feb 5, 2025 at 4:11 PM I undestand using a lot for IW/EG or any other big group film, but regular films don't need all that s---.
Feb 5, 2025 at 4:13 PM The old model of marvel was crazy. They were pumping out so much s--- in such a short time crunch, it’s why endgame and infinity war hold up even tho they are several years older. During the writers strike of mid 2023, marvel did a complete overhaul on all thier projects and gave F4 actual time. And surprisingly they cast this time last year, and got it film in the same amount of time that it use to take movies back in the 2000’s. The commitment and effort shows. And sure they definitely still have some stuff to touch up, but they got 5 months. Same with Brave new world. A few months ago the VFX looked rough but the recent trailers actually look good. I feel like the writers strike forced studios to stop screwing around and take time to make things look At least presentable
Feb 5, 2025 at 4:14 PM The fact that they're restarting makes me way more interested tbh, Snyder is talented and I appreciate he exist but his style was never for me. I'm sure Batman 2 will be good, even though they take their own liberties at some parts I think Robert Pattinson and Matt Reeves really get the character and it's one of my favorite depictions of Batman in movies, they need to stop being f---in cowards and introduce the Batfamily again tho
