Dec 31, 2024 Hard to believe that tomorrow, or today depending on where you are, is the start of the release year for GTA 6 (assuming all is well behind the scenes). Time flies like a mf.
Dec 31, 2024 I’m so ready for it man. Gaming just hasn’t felt that exciting for me lately. I still have fun every now and then but it doesn’t feel the same. I feel like GTA 6 could single-handedly save gaming for me.

Jan 1, 2025 It seems like GTA 6 isn't going to deviate much from GTA V. From what we've seen so far, the vibe feels pretty similar. GTA V was great but it's story didn’t match the previous titles. Honestly, The online focus has ruined the series.

Jan 1, 2025 I see what you’re saying. Hopefully there is some sort of difference in vibe. There’s definitely a chance for that to happen because I feel like all that we’ve seen so far is from earlier in development compared to where they’re at at this very moment. Even a lot of that leaked gameplay was from like 2020-2022 if I recall correctly. I think the GTA 6 story has the potential to be a lot better than GTA 5’s story though. This time they only have to focus on two protagonists in a relationship together rather than three protagonists who come from different backgrounds. I do hope GTA 6 has more seriousness like GTA 4 did. GTA 4 did a good job of balancing the humor and drama I think. While I like Trevor, having to play as a guy like him made GTA 5 feel way too goofy at times. I agree about the online ruining the series in a way. It robbed us of story DLC.
Jan 1, 2025 You got a good point about the characters being a couple, which hopefully leads to a more focused story. The vibe of past GTA games varied a lot. San Andreas had a lighthearted ghetto feel while GTA 4 was darker and grittier. There was a big contrast in atmosphere between the two and the physics are totally different. From what we’ve seen of GTA 6, the vibe and gameplay seems very similar to GTA 5. This could be a Far Cry 3 type situation where they finally nail the perfect recipe and stop taking risks. But we’ll see how it plays out. Personally, I just hope there’s no online integration in the single player. Online has gotten so grindy, with all the constant spam calls and offers to buy overpriced items, pushing people to buy shark cards. Multiplayer has become too elaborate and complex. It's lost that simple fun we had with SA-MP back in the day, when multiplayer was just a fun addition, not the main thing.

Jan 25, 2025 I’m still hoping Rockstar brings back bowling. I doubt it’ll happen, but that was one of my favorite activities in GTA IV, and I miss it. I also would like to be able to throw the bowling balls at people. Bring back walking inside Burger Shot and Cluckin' Bell as well, I wanna harass the employees. h---, even the ragdoll physics were better in GTA IV.

Jan 25, 2025 GTA V was definitely a downgrade in certain ways. For example, the damage cars took wasn’t as detailed as GTA IV. The ragdoll physics weren’t as cool. Cars had less weight to them.
