Mar 19, 2025 at 2:42 PM What's the problem, 99% of the forum is saying that word out loud, not me tho
Mar 19, 2025 at 3:12 PM I wanna know why he used ai vocals lol. Is it just references from ghost writers and he just slapped his voice on or Makes you wonder what else is ai lol, it's crazy good at generating entire songs in a few seconds now so did he even make the beats lol
Mar 19, 2025 at 4:06 PM Yeah I think it's usually putting the ye filter over a reference track. And it's because he's lazy and washed as f--- lol
Mar 19, 2025 at 6:14 PM I'm like halfway thru this random YouTube upload version I think the tracklist is shuffled a bit but I actually like this so far, I'm shocked lol
Mar 19, 2025 at 7:13 PM Just finished it myself and I was pretty surprised. The AI vocals were the worst part for me, but the beats are great imo. Gonna post a quick review ITT in a bit, but I think its pretty good for whats basically a demo album
Mar 19, 2025 at 8:06 PM Yeah the production is really good and it feels like a singular work with a vision. This is what I want to hear from late-career Kanye. Kinda a mashup of 808s/pre-Pablo Only One type s--- + early sample-based Kanye. This felt like a Kanye album whereas Vultures feels like a Kanye album copying a Travis Scott album that was already copying a Kanye album, just a grandiose aesthetic for the sake of a grandiose aesthetic without any thought put into why. It feels a little impressive at first but there's just nothing behind it. A Kanye West Potemkin Village if you will. I only ever heard Vultures 2 once so I can't comment on that one but I guess they updated it a bunch so I should relisten just cuz (even tho the release version was legit one of the worst albums I'd ever heard lol). The vocals were def rough in some areas but not nearly as bad as I was expecting after hearing it was "like half AI" or whatever. Def agree I don't think minor use of AI as a tool to correct some small things is bad at all (like how autotune is used to slightly correct the pitch of something without the stylistic effect it's known for now) but just putting a Ye filter over ref vocals is wack and lazy as f---. I haven't paid enough attention this album to listen to any of the leaked reference tracks and such so I'm not sure where exactly those are, I'm sure it'll jump out more upon repeat listens.
