Y’all think Cole tweaked The Fall Off after hearing Kendrick going the catchier hits route on GNX? Or will he stick to the clouds vibe?

It would be alarming to find out he didn’t already have catchy hits made. It would also be alarming to find out that he’d be willing to change this project on a whim like that when he’s been “perfecting” it for so long. I suspect it will be a mix of lyrical songs and catchy songs anyway although the ratio might lean toward the lyrical songs.

I agree. I don't think it's a one or the other proposition if he picks the right songs that he's saved over the years. The Fall Off era has been defined by the dissolving of the differences of "type" Cole songs into just one thing. This has been his best work because a song like, A Lot to name one, is a hit and arguably one of his best verses. It won't be his best album unless the whole album is basically that.
