Jun 3, 2025 at 9:34 PM Big Boi - Sir Lucious Left Foot… The Son of Chico Dusty RIPPER ROO’S RATING: 6/10 I see reviews online giving this album 9s and s--- like that, but I just don’t feel the same way. I don’t have any favorites on this album I’ll be honest. It’s not a bad album by any means, but I didn’t enjoy listening to this album very much at all. I actually think I’m being generous in giving this album a 6/10. I thought I’d like this album a lot more but I just don’t. Big Boi has a lot of lines that made me cringe but overall his delivery is very unique and entertaining for the most part. There’s some weird flows here and there that just aren’t pleasing to my ears though. I also hated a lot of the features on this album. Not a fan of that awkward trying too hard to be sexy Jamie Foxx feature, hated Vonnegutt, hated Yelawolf’s Eminem impression, didn’t like Sam Chris’s voice. Love how that awkward Hustle Blood song with Jamie Foxx is immediately followed up by a better version of the same song. Janelle Monáe carries Be Still while Big Boi adds almost nothing. The song with Gucci Mane is kind of a b-----r I guess, probably the best song on the album. In some parts the production is creative and layered, but in other parts feels weird and cheap. Still not sure whether I like or dislike that choir on General Patton. On one hand it’s cool at first but as the song goes on it gets old, goes nowhere, and ultimately feels basic. I know it feels like this review is overly negative, but there’s some parts of the album I like. Feel Me, Daddy Fat Sex, Turns Me On, General Patton, Tangerine, Be Still, Night Night, Shine Blockas, and Back Up Plan are overall decent to good songs even though some of those have elements I really don’t like. Tangerine is pretty d--- catchy in the most part, and I’d probably bump that in the whip. I almost wanted to give this a 5/10 or lower, but there’s a decent amount of songs I still like and Big Boi offers a lot of personality here so with how unenjoyable this was for me 6/10 seems like a pretty fair score. Most of these features and production choices along with some awkward lines and flows from Big Boi bring the album down for me a lot. Not bad though, I’m just not gonna give this a high score just because everyone else I saw on the internet did. Overall slightly above average album, I expected to like this more with all the hype and positive reviews I saw, but oh well. @AOTWClub

Jun 4, 2025 at 9:19 PM @Evad - Evad’s Time Capsule review Had a long a--- week and only managed to replay this mixtape twice. That’s a bummer because the whole thing is very fun and deeply nostalgic. The tape is a pretty great arrangement of timeless classics; which helps this review because I overplayed like 80% of this thing over the years and was familiar with pretty much all of the songs. This review won’t be very long: there is not much that I can say about these songs that others here haven’t said already. The amazing scores everyone’s given this mixtape truly reflect its quality. I somewhat agree with the opinion that this is a fairly safe collection of songs, but that does not really affect my rating here. The mixtape flows very well, is tastefully energetic, and achieves a great atmosphere and even greater vibes. I absolutely did not expect to hear a switch from this mixtape’s initial portion to west coast classics. Despite that, all of the genres and sounds covered on here are very dear to me. To nobody’s surprise, my favorite section was definitely the last four tracks. As a huge fan of all of these artists, and especially as a huge enjoyer of Elliot Smith, this portion ticked every single box and was a great outro to the mix. Favorite Songs: Jungle Love, So Fine, Gangsta’s Paradise, The Man Who Sold The World, Miss Misery Least Favorite Songs: Little Red Corvette, Head Over Heels Thanks for the nostalgic mixtape and welcome back to the AOTWclub! 9/10 @AOTWClub @Justin Trudeau

Jun 5, 2025 at 3:00 AM Congratulations to Evad on getting such a high score, he put out an amazing mixtape. This post made me go look at the rankings, and I just realized I got first place. Wow, I never thought I would reach first place in one of these things, that’s dope. Thank you to everyone for the kind reviews.
Jun 5, 2025 at 5:33 AM Big Boi Review: Sir Luscious Left Foot One thing I've never understood, even a little bit is why Big Boi is overshadowed by Andre 3000. Andres put on all these lists of goat rappers and I don't understand at all, his body of work isn't big enough. Big Boi is just as good as him. This album is fairly solid, I don't love every song but i do like my fair share. I enjoy a lot of the features too. Gucci mane is f---ing dogshit though, no surprise there anyways. I feel like this album would have been a lot better if he cut about 4 songs off it. Anyways still a solid album gonna give it a 6.5/10 Fav songs: you ain't no DJ, General Patton, Follow Us @AOTWClub
Jun 5, 2025 at 5:39 AM Wow, your rating is only 0.5 points higher than mine lol I thought it would be much higher
