Jun 11, 2025 at 12:10 PM Sabrina Carpenter has announced her new album Man’s Best Friend with a release date of August 29th! Stream the single Manchild now!
Jun 11, 2025 at 12:22 PM This one for the feminists It’s too early if you ask me. Should have kept pushing her album a bit more since it was doing great
Jun 11, 2025 at 12:23 PM I don’t want a Dua situation where the new album sounds too much like the previous one cause it was made in a hurry and too soon.
Jun 11, 2025 at 12:37 PM Honestly, I was shocked when I saw the announcement I had to make sure it wasn’t a troll post. I thought it was pretty soon for a new album, but hey if it’s good and sounds good I’ll take it. Just scared of it being rushed
Jun 11, 2025 at 1:28 PM Same, but I had a small inkling it was the start of a rollout because the Espresso release was very similar
Jun 11, 2025 at 3:49 PM I knew an album was coming very soon, she wants to come for that summer spot again. She is also on fire right now and it’s been like a year since the album. There’s been a major uptick in her being talked about even before the single dropped, she’s even in Fortnite now and they’ve been promoting her like crazy. Might as well strike while the iron is hot. We have rappers dropping every 6 months or less now but people getting worried because she’s dropping a year later, like what? If you’ve heard some of her previous work, you’d know that Sabrina is versatile so the worry of this album sounding too much like the last one is jumping the gun. People need to remember Short n Sweet was not her debut album, not even close. She knows what she’s doing. It’s also very funny to keep going after these fragile “alpha” males and s--- like that these days, those dumbfucks will do the album promo for her. I hope she roasts them, a lot of “men” on this forum need to hear it and get their egos checked.
Jun 11, 2025 at 5:00 PM Rappers aren't dropping anything but trash lol they could drop an album every week. It's a bad comparison.
Jun 11, 2025 at 5:01 PM You think most new music is trash so this doesn’t really mean much. You probably won’t like this album either.
Jun 11, 2025 at 5:13 PM Mfs really been conditioned to think that taking long to drop an album = better lmao. Mfs complain about albums taking long too drop and then complain when they get one after a year. All of this just proves people are fickle and don’t know what they want. Sorry to tell you but a year is plenty of time to make a new album that sounds different.
Jun 11, 2025 at 5:14 PM *most rap music these days. Heard the new Glo and that s--- is whack, these b------s make one song and live off it for years
Jun 11, 2025 at 5:16 PM As long as this isn't Short 2.0, I'm good. I want it to sound like a new album, not a deluxe of the last one.
Jun 11, 2025 at 5:17 PM *I have no knowledge of the artist I’m talking about and only jumped on the bandwagon because it’s what’s popular but I cosplay as an expert music label executive even though I’m a broke Spanish boy with Eminem displays in my room
Jun 11, 2025 at 5:25 PM Sabrina Carpenter dropped albums in 2015 and 2016, took a year break and dropped albums in 2018 and 2019. She has done this before and clearly can pump out music faster than your favorite artist who takes 2-5 years to put out mid. Wasn’t MMLP made in 10 months? Even Marsh’s idol makes his best work in less time.
Jun 11, 2025 at 5:25 PM I just want a good album and if that’s what she’s got, then a year is perfect! Some artists drop great albums less than a year after the previous one, and I’m sure Sabrina could too. Im not too familiar with her older projects but I trust when you say that she’s capable of doing back to back years. I’m just surprised we are getting another one so soon, I expected the every 2 years route tbh because SnS is still doing so good
Jun 11, 2025 at 5:31 PM I might check this out, I didn't think her recent album was that good. Not bad, but I never went back to it. Seems like the picture is triggering the r-----s that have reddit accounts though.
Jun 11, 2025 at 5:31 PM Even XXXTENTACION put out multiple good albums in a year that sounded completely different from each other. People underestimate what artists are capable of. A lot of times albums can take long to drop due to factors that have nothing to do with the actual music being completed. Plus, if you do take too long to finish the music you run into the issue of perfectionism and always second guessing everything you do. It’s why Dr. Dre can barely put out music anymore. I get that 2 years seems like the sweet spot, but it’s not as if it actually always took them that whole 2 years to make the album. Sabrina’s last album is still so popular so this does feel too soon in a sense, but you also have to keep in mind everything moves faster these days. You can go from famous to irrelevant in just 1 year.
