Sorry for yapping some of the hardest ive yapped and getting personal but i think the context does put a unique color on my review that makes it interesting and i actually kind've appreciate being there. Good or bad things happening personally can form and accentuate a connection with music for better or worse so it's strange when it happens negatively with what I think is actually a quite good record lmao

You don't have to apologize man. A big part of why this group is so cool is the fact that we all have our own different perspectives on the artists/albums/songs picked, and a big part of that comes from the fact that we all have different experiences. Whether it be memories that are tied to an album, or connecting artists to a person from our past, our opinions are gonna be influenced by our own perspectives, and I'm sure that everybody in the club agrees that hearing different angles about the music we pick is a great thing.

After some further thought I'm stuck on my next album pick, I already know what my next two picks are gonna be just don't know which one I want to do first.

Would yall rather have an album you haven't heard of that I'm pretty sure most of you would really like or something a little divisive first?

Picking KSI's Creature EP would be a bold choice, but I'd respect it

Funny you say that cause the album I have in mind is tangentially closer to KSI than you'd think or know lmao

All of the albums during this round have been getting decent or better than decent reviews so I think you should pick the album that’s a little divisive just to spice things up a bit lol

I’m in a similar boat where I had multiple albums in mind but the albums that have been picked so far have showed me what direction to go in. Most of the albums picked so far have been labeled as hip hop and all of them have been done by male artists so I’m basically going in the other direction. Plus it gives me a chance to highlight an artist I don’t think a lot of people have heard of

My X review is coming in the next few days. It’s a little later than my reviews normally are. I know the album like the back of my hand but I wanted to give myself more time to really gather my thoughts and be in the right headspace to say what I wanna say

Speaking of music experiences, gonna see LP in a few hours. Really curious how Emily sounds live! At the CL final she sounded fire

Seen them years ago when the junkie was still their lead singer (rip ofc)

Chester was one of my favorite vocalists in general but Emily was a great replacement, hope she does well live! Have a good time!

Their new singer is excellent. A lot of people have complained about Chester being replaced but let’s be honest, most of them probably haven’t listened to a Linkin Park album since the first two.

Off topic but I think Hips Don’t Lie by Shakira is one of the best songs ever made

Lately I’ve spent more time collecting music than actually listening to it. The fun comes from discovering hidden gems and adding them to my collection.

I’ve been building this library since the LimeWire days. Couldn't imagine relying on streaming services. One bad licensing deal and poof your favorite elevator mixtape from 2007 is gone forever.

Despite being a zoomer who’s listened to almost nothing but digital music my whole life, I’ve slowly been buying CDs here and there. Admittedly I still barely listen to them, but it’s cool to have something physically
