Lol And what does the marvels and secret invasion have to do with the sucess of Black Panther? Backpedaling cuz you lost the argument already? And yeah I like the marvel for what it is. And I like those characters. Yeah it flopped, so? And yeah secret invasion was a---. You do know I can still be a stan and admit marvel has f----- up. In fact I am one of the biggest critics of the multiverse saga. I still enjoy characters and moments in certain films. You know why? cuz I’m a Marvel fan dumbass.
Jul 13, 2025 at 4:38 PM The Marvels is about 2 women and a teenage girl bonding. Like the demographic for it is clearly for Disney plus female audiences, but you can still enjoy the characters of Monica from wandavision, Carol as the Strongest Avenger, and the quantum band plot that will be crucial to the Avengers movies. It’s like a sleepover movie and should have just been a Disney+ project, but it knew what it was. Obviously 45 year old men aren’t gonna relate to it. Just don’t watch it. Problem solved. It had missed opportunities as did literally every movie in the multiverse saga. But idk why you would go into a The Marvels movie and expect Spiderman or Avengers style and storytelling. Be realistic. It had a fun Fantastic Four rise of the silver surfer Quantum switch gimmick and added Nick fury. It was fun, and the living room fight was legit better then half of phase 4 action sequences if we being honest. Yeah it’s mid, but it’s clearly for a younger demographic. That’s not me defending it, that’s just what it is.

Jul 13, 2025 at 4:43 PM Secret invasion s----d cuz it literally was universe narrative breaking and ruin Nick fury’s character. Killing off an OG shield against from the first Avengers movie, introducing the most plot holes of Skrull Logic, and did way too much by adding an irrelevant character that had all the powers of every avenger. Sentry did all of this so much better in thunderbolts. Secret invasion didn’t have an actual message or thesis. It was just Sam Iackson being made a full of, even tho he is a level 10 Shield director and Spy. It’s the worst use of spy espionage, and makes bravery new world look good. Lol now see how gave actual criticism and logic on why these characters and events failed compared to them being done better in phase 5 with sentry and Cap? Brave new world may have been underwhelming politically, but events actually moved the MCU forward. Unlike secret invasion that plopped a million Skrulls randomly in governments, had vigilantes running rampant killing politicians and a Game of thrones actress thrown in there to become as powerful as Captain Marvel but then vanish and we never see them again. That’s how you critique.

Jul 13, 2025 at 4:47 PM The biggest problem with phase 5 was Ant-man tbh. So many missed opportunities, and the fact that the only positive thing people raved about was Jonathan majors who literally had a career altering abuse case just weeks after the movie came out. That movie could have been so much better in every way. And I wouldn have had Hulk or Doctor strange team up with Scott! Or introduce the F4 in some way there. It just didn’t have anything going for it.

Here’s what I said in my review after my 3rd watch of Superman today: “This should be the blueprint for superhero movies from here on out. With the DCU starting strong and the MCU having some sort of reboot (hopefully) after Secret Wars, I’m excited to see the state of superhero cinema in the late 2020’s into the 2030’s.”
Jul 13, 2025 at 4:51 PM Also this! Wakanda Forever was competently shot. Ryan Coogler did amazing visuals and the character acting was amazing as expected! The biggest problem with wakanda Forever was that people wanted it to be more MCU involvement. Like where tf were other Avengers or hero’s. Something everyone wanted in the sequel. Other than the Re-cast t’challa movment. I think WF as with every phase 5 movie needed more connectivity. Like if Sam’s Cap actually was used as a secondary character it make so much more sense then having Ironheart randomly in Wakanda. Lol
