Aug 12, 2025 at 2:46 PM lol. listen for your self. That’s literally Marshall. His voice is just a semitone lower Eminem sounding like Eminem. Wow, how is that possible?!!! So idk why r-----s act like he can’t do the same in a studio with layering and filters. Really not that far of a stretch of imagination
Aug 12, 2025 at 2:57 PM No chance bruv. He is basically being a hypeman to the song performing a few lines while lip- syncing the rest from the actual recording. The few lines you do hear him perform sound like current him.
Aug 12, 2025 at 3:03 PM I posted the wrong video. I fix the link. And he uses the slim shady voice in Just don’t give a f---
Aug 12, 2025 at 3:07 PM Sounds nothing like his 1999 voice. Just a mimick attempt at it with backtracking. It is actually Eminem from 1999 and 24, shocking I know lol. So a bit of filtering and it will sound just like it.
Aug 12, 2025 at 3:08 PM LOL you gotta be trolling at this point. You send me a video where he sounds nothing like the “Forgot About Dre” backtrack yet are trying to tell me he can sound exactly like he did back in the day. I don’t expect him to sound like he did back in the day, his voice clearly aged. I’m glad they’re doing whatever they’re doing to make him sound younger whether it be AI filters, vocal layering, or other “studio tricks”. It’s not a big deal and there’s no shame in admitting that he is getting help to sound like his younger self.
Aug 12, 2025 at 3:13 PM shady fuel rmx verse... all the Ps and S sounds... how can people think its no AI filter?
Aug 12, 2025 at 3:14 PM This morning I said it was a voice filter. Lol It’s just not A.I. people use that term way too loosely. And it makes it sound inauthentic and less artistic
Aug 12, 2025 at 3:17 PM I don't think Eminem is lying since he hasn't spoken about it at all. We can't take Fredwreck's word as if it was Eminem's or as if Paul had a gun pointed at his head. Em did what he wanted to do on this record, he used old vocals, he used AI and he used plugins. I think we can all pinpoint the exact moments where AI or plugins are used to make him sound different. For instance, the line: "This s--- is like opioids abuse isn't it" is CLEARLY not an old vocal. It doesn't sound clean, it sounds weird and over-processed. And I'm not mad at it. I've been longing to hear old Em's voice and style for so long that I don't care if it doesn't sound 100% clean. I'd gladly take 2 more albums with vocals like "Animals" than the monotone style he was using in songs like "Lace It". Some of you are too purist but then you complain when he sounds boring or too nasal or whatever. The fact is, until he himself says "it wasn't AI" or "it was AI" we can't accuse him of hiding it or lying about it.
Aug 12, 2025 at 3:17 PM And em can sound like his older self when he wants as examples on post revival songs like these demons and stepping stones
Aug 12, 2025 at 3:23 PM Wasn’t Stepping Stone confirmed to be a old track anyway? And please he does not sound like his old self on These Demons - I Will hook and parts of that verse I would agree with
Aug 12, 2025 at 3:27 PM The people aren’t having it these days verse and the final verse definitely is
Aug 12, 2025 at 3:27 PM A lot of people on this forum don’t actually read posts. They just pick and choose what parts they read and run with whatever narratives they wanna run with. That is more apparent today during this conversation than ever before. I could clarify my position 200 more times and people still wouldn’t get it or put words in my mouth.
Aug 12, 2025 at 3:28 PM I can't believe this is even a debate. Since when are the vocal cords the one part of the human body that is unaffected by the aging process? Are they still gonna be saying this when Eminem is (very possibly) still rapping in his 60s or even his 70s?
Aug 12, 2025 at 3:31 PM LOL Plus he doesn't even sound remotely close to Recovery-Em when speaking normally. Let alone 2002-2003. I bet I could take pieces of different interviews throughout different eras, just the audio (no video) and we could all easily tell from which era it is just by the sound of his voice and the way he speaks.
Aug 12, 2025 at 3:31 PM Well, I think the biggest issue is a lot of these grown men here never hit puberty and sound exactly the same as they did when they were a teenager so they don’t understand how the voice changes throughout time.
