Aug 13, 2025 at 1:10 AM Since they have legal issues with Interscope, I can't see unreleased s--- with them being on there. And they did the best s---.
Aug 13, 2025 at 6:42 AM Of course and back then Eminem didn't have co production credits so it may be he would need to ask permission to use his own songs ....but they're not really his because he doesn't own them. Jake Bass says he was really happy to see his "Dad's instrumental finally released" on Eminem Show Expanded. It was Square Dance so I think some things are ok to release. Maybe just not completely unheard songs.
Aug 13, 2025 at 7:29 AM "Square Dance" is an old song, so instrumentals are okay, just like the "Lose Yourself" Demo, which is production-wise the same song.
Aug 13, 2025 at 10:27 AM When Lose Yourself had it's anniversary the Bass' posted photographs of CDs and how they listened to where it started and what it became. It could be the CDs were filled with various mixes but I think from what was on that demo and what we finally got....there was probably a good few changes along the way. It's a bit sad that we can't listen to what those changes are. That was several CDs for just Lose Yourself, just one song and it also shows Eminem music isn't just kept in one place/vault. Then again back then I don't think Eminem or Paul would tell the Bass Brothers they can't keep a copy of the music they worked on.
Aug 13, 2025 at 11:42 AM It's the same reason why they went after Joe after the leaked songs, but not the instrumentals he released for 2.5 years before that.
