Aug 24, 2025 at 8:41 PM @AOTWClub Lana Del Rey - Norman f---ing Rockwell! Review My thoughts on this album are pretty similar to some of the other pop projects we’ve covered. It’s not really my cup of tea, but there were still a few tracks that stood out to me. Mariners Apartment Complex, Venice b---- (though it drags on way too long) and Doin’ Time were all solid highlights. Overall, I think this album is objectively a strong project and I can easily see why many people vibe with it but it’s definitely not my lane and I wish I could give it a higher score. Maybe next time. Thanks for sharing! 6/10

Aug 27, 2025 at 6:54 PM Up to Here - The Tragically Hip (Apologies if this is a bit short, they're showing Superbad at the campus theater and I'm volunteering) Prior to listening to Up to Here, I thought "I haven't really checked out many Canadian artists, right?" Then I realized that artists like Neil Young, Mac DeMarco and The Weeknd are from there, and I started thinking. Similar to someone like Robbie Williams, i don't think that I had ever heard about the Tragically Hip before. I think part of what makes this especially notable is the proximity. Like, Canada is literally part of North America, how the h--- have I not heard about them? So with this mystery in hand, I dove into the album not knowing what to expect. What I got, was a pretty good blues rock album. Gord Downie has a very distinct voice, which kinda reminded me of CCR's John Fogerty in some places. I feel like his vocals especially shined on tracks like "38 Years Old" and "When the Weight Comes Down". I really liked Bobby Baker's riffs on songs like "I'll Believe In You..." and "New Orleans Is Sinking" as well. I know I've used this example before, but the music reminds me of the types of songs that I would hear on the radio stations in a game like GTA San Andreas, which is always a plus. I don't really have too many complaints on this album either, which is always a treat. Big thanks to @Justin Trudeau for the pick, and yeah. Favorite Tracks: "I'll Believe In You...", "New Orleans Is Sinking", " When the Weight Comes Down Rating: 7.5/10 @Justin Trudeau @AOTWClub
