Sep 4, 2025 at 2:29 PM Taylor Swift- Folklore This was my introduction to Taylor Swift music, it was covid i was working through it but still extremely bored on my days off. Saw this dropped so I decided to check it out. Right away the 1 drew me in, her voice is incredible regardless of what the jealous of success S80 users say. Once I heard Cardigan I was like d--- okay this is someone I can definitely f--- with. Im not gonna do a track by track go around by the thing i love the most about this album is the stripped back production along with Taylor's amazing vocals. It all works near flawlessly. There are no tracks that are bad on this album in my opinion. My favorite songs are : the 1, cardigan, last great american dynasty, illicit affairs, august Score: 8.5/10 @AOTWClub
Sep 4, 2025 at 3:15 PM h--- yeah thanks for the rec ill definitely save the hits album. My first concert was Camp Rock with Demi Lovato and The Jonas Brothers, man you lucked out
Sep 4, 2025 at 3:16 PM The Tragically Hip - Up to Here Score: 7.0 I wish I had more to say about this album, but I just don't. I enjoyed every track enough to throw a like on it, but I didn't LOVE any of the tracks. Wasn't a mid project by any means, but it just didn't blow me away. Blow At High Dough and 38 Years Old were still highlights in the tracklist, not sure if I have any lowlights though. Overall, cool project and I liked all the songs, but just not sure how often it'll be in my rotation. Would still be down to check out more from this band though! Good pick @Justin Trudeau ! @AOTWClub 2025 AOTW Rankings: 1. h--- Hath No Fury - 9.0 2. Let God Sort Em Out - 9.0 3. Norman f---ing Rockwell! - 9.0 4. The Beatles - 9.0 5. Sep 4, 2025 at 3:20 PM I almost cried during cardigan when I went to the Eras show in Nashville. I absolutely adore that song, and that moment at the concert cemented me as a born-again Swiftie. I even almost wrote a remix to it back in 2023 after the show haha Thanks for the review man
Sep 4, 2025 at 5:57 PM Big time Taylor hater here but her doing nonstop 3 hour shows for the entire eras tour and all of them seeming to have similar levels of quality is pretty f---ing crazy. I liked the live version of Castles Crumbling (for obvious reasons)
Sep 4, 2025 at 6:40 PM Taylor Swift - folklore Favorites: the 1, cardigan, my tears ricochet, august, this is me trying, invisible string (these are hard to pick and some of these sometimes change but the 1 and invisible string always make my favorites regardless) RIPPER ROO’S RATING: 9/10 I can still remember hearing this in 2020. This is one of those “you just had to be there” moments. Before this album I mostly only heard Taylor’s big hits and never really listened to a full album (although I can’t remember if I listened to Lover before or after this). folklore is the album that put Taylor on my list of artists who I check out. I feel like that’s the case for a lot of people. The facts that this was released during the COVID-19 pandemic, was a surprise drop, and was way more of a stripped back approach compared to Taylor’s previous pop albums are really things that changed mine and a lot of other people’s perception of Taylor Swift. She went from annoying pop girl to an artist that felt like she had actual substance. This album has a really unique feeling to it. It feels exactly like the period of time we’re in right now: summer is slowly leaving and fall is slowly coming. There’s that feeling of sadness that the warmth and magical good times summer brings are going away but also the hope of a new beginning of a new season and the magic feeling that fall brings with all the beautiful leaves falling, cuddle weather, Halloween, etc. “the 1” is one of my favorite songs here as it’s an incredible intro that gives you that exact feeling I described and perfectly sets the tone for the album. To touch on another one of my favorites, I’ve always thought “invisible string” was such a cute way to describe couples or other people you have a bond with. Even in my darkest days where I don’t feel like interacting with anybody ever again, I always feel like there’s an invisible string attracting people to me so I relate to Taylor there and also relate to “this is me trying” and “my tears ricochet”. There are some songs that I still like but I feel are weaker than others. “the last great american dynasty”, “mad woman”, and “betty” just don’t really do it for me as much as the other songs. Other than that this is an amazing album. I could keep going on about it but honestly I don’t really feel like it. @AOTWClub
Sep 4, 2025 at 8:01 PM This song bangs, super happy to see a few of my favorites working together. Jordan Fish is the goat in terms of modern metal production, cool as h--- that the instrumental changes throughout the song to be more like the respective sound of whoevers singing.
Sep 5, 2025 at 9:05 AM I am far too busy to write up a super long review but I am bias because I can’t stand Taylor, so sorry Taylor fans but I’m gonna give folklore a 5.5 for me. All of her music just makes me feel a nagging sense of shallowness to it that I can only compare to Japanese pop idols where it feels they’re just a corporate product instead of a person and I just can’t enjoy it.
Sep 5, 2025 at 9:34 AM Although it really does seem like everyone else enjoys it and I don’t want to drag down the review score because of my negative bias and there’s not many people here so do consider not counting my score in the total @Justin Trudeau I leave it to ur discretion but my negative predisposition to her music definitely dragged my score lower than maybe it objectively deserves.
Sep 5, 2025 at 1:30 PM You sound like an edgy kid off Twitter whose jealous of her popularity but ill count your review
Sep 5, 2025 at 4:19 PM Swear to god I always crack up at Justin being a swiftie. It is his world and we are just living in it.
