Sep 6, 2025 at 5:45 PM He’s probably referring to the 2007 lawsuit where they tried suing Interscope for not paying them enough for ringtones and downloads (which were becoming popular on the internet at that time). Still doesn’t really explain why Jeff Bass went from being Eminems most trusted studio collaborator to hardly ever working with him again. I reckon Eminems d--- dealer(s) may have had some connection to Bass. Maybe a friend or acquaintance, or was introduced to Em by Bass like a “this guy can get you anything” kinda situation. That’s just pure speculation on my part though.
Sep 6, 2025 at 6:36 PM My own suspicion I've had for a while is based on a Jeff Bass interview from a few years back where he said a critical reason why he and Eminem and worked so well together is because during the process of coming up with the right instrumentals he always tried to get a feel for whatever was bothering Eminem at the time, from the way he described it effectively playing the role of a therapist for him, which might have involved Bass getting a little too close and personal than Eminem was comfortable with as he got older and more cynical and more untrusting. He may have felt awkward around him after being so open with him during some of his most vulnerable moments in life and wanted to be more independent (with ofc the fat kike still basically playing the role of his dad). Under this view blaming Bass for his addiction is just a convenient excuse.
