Sep 14, 2025 at 3:04 PM The south has gotten stale with mediocrity. They been running rap since the early 2000’s but the spitters just aren’t good anymore. Production hard carries thier records. Yeah, JID is the best since the Dirty decade. Back then from the late 90’s to about 2007 is when the south peaked. In the 2010’s they rely more on drums then skill. Thug never had hits as good as Wayne, or albums as significant as OutKast’s, or impact like T.I.
