Sep 25, 2025 at 11:08 AM Prediction(/hope): Eminem will try to mimic the way he sounded in Everybody's Looking in the next song. For him to release that song almost 25 years later means he's finally come to grips with the fact that he's long past his prime and needs to step his game up to close the gap as much as possible so people aren't comparing the new him to the old him so much. AI will only get him so far though. He needs to sharpen his delivery more and also find something more interesting to talk about (in Animals for ex he says basically nothing. Cool verse and all but I hardly remember any lyrics from it).

Sep 25, 2025 at 11:51 AM Fun Fact - "If I Get Locked Up" is the bridge between SSLP and MMLP and "Everybody's Looking At Me" is the bridge between MMLP and TES. 2 great songs, by the way. That was prime Em I'm talking about here.
Sep 25, 2025 at 11:52 AM Next album is coming 2nd Quarter next year. But some more single drops are coming before that.
Sep 25, 2025 at 11:53 AM ELAM really would've been perfect on the Wash soundtrack like originally planned
Sep 25, 2025 at 11:57 AM i really wish the first two verses weren't recycled. 3rd verse is incredible, image if the whole song had been like that
Sep 25, 2025 at 12:16 PM I wouldn't mind if we get another Bad Meets Evil project before the new album next year
Sep 25, 2025 at 1:42 PM Yeah what ELAM really made me realize/remember is that back then it was like he was just talking to us and everything happened to rhyme perfectly. There's just such a difference between that and his technical lyrical miracle stuff that he still forces into most songs. I remember you being surprised that I didn't love Antichrist and when I went back after a few months I was like wow this is pretty good and then towards the end he goes off the rails with his speed rapping. It's just so f---ing jarring and it will take me out of any song.
Sep 25, 2025 at 2:43 PM Antichrist was an almost surreal step in the right direction. At certain parts, for at least a month I couldn't believe what I was hearing in 2024: Spoiler Still the press's wet dream (Yeah) Too many head shrinks (Oh) My head thinks foul, I've said things when jesting They should arrest me for my testes (Ah) The biggest in the South, West, East, North and catch be (Ah) Evidence swept clean With extreme lengths and steps being took to suppress things (Why?) Try not to get seen With Ben Affleck, me, and Seth Green hangin' on to the left wing Of Jeffrey Epstein's jet screamin', "Hey, don't forget me" (Haha) But who else is as pitiless, actually witty and crass, hideous Ghastly, and insidious as me, or spitting as nasty? Next idiot ask me is getting his a--- beat worse than Diddy did Cassie But on the real, though (What?) She probably ran out the room with his f---in' dildo (Come here) He try to field goal punt her, she said to chill (No) Now put it back in my a--- and get the steel toe (Ew, ah, the f---? Yeah) Although the voice and delivery are obviously not from 2000 these parts still authentically feel to me like a Criminal or a Real Slim Shady in spirit. By no means a perfect recreation of that era (that's not possible anyway, since even if he hadn't aged a day since MMLP he'd still sound different just due to being in a different era) but he definitely recaptured something here. As impressive as that is though, like you say his new music is usually missing that feeling like he's talking to us in the slower and more focused and deliberate way that he used to. These days he's too all over the place and the way he rambles on about nothing makes him sound like an AI version of himself, with or without the filter. For that reason I can see why you appreciated Last One Standing. Promisingly though his uncanny talent for rhyming hasn't completely left him. Especially in recent years sometimes the rhymes seem to fall perfectly into place just like back in the day. A prime example: Spoiler I was up to my waist in debt, better yet, face and neck, tryna chase a check Sweat, labor for minimal as wages get, just tryna get me a dub like a blank cassette (Yeah) I worked for peanuts 'til the day I met Dre and that gave me a little raise in net, now Nothing is close to disgusting as what I gross, so this must mean that what I wrote...
Sep 25, 2025 at 2:53 PM I am certain Eminem can easily rap like he used to, he just thinks what he is doing now is better. But what I came here to say is, My First Single is not drugged out Eminem. The flow and rhymes are great, it's just the beat and sound effects that ruin the song.
