Curtis wasn’t actually a flop, the genre was just transforming and this is when Sales went down drastically due to the digital era of music overtaking physicals. 2007 is peak time of when limewire and other websites found loopholes to what happen back in 2000 with Napster. Everyone went back to either stealing music offline or iTunes. No one needed CD’s anymore when you can have the specific songs bought or downloaded. Cd players were being dropped for iPods. 50 didn’t adapt with the times. Em did.

According to Dope Strange he didn't want anyone hearing '05 Antichrist, and yet no one batted an eye when it leaked, with no blacklash over the lyrics demonizing MJ which I'm sure was his biggest fear.
