Oct 1, 2025 at 2:24 AM Would he have necessarily known about it though? Even if one is of the opinion that the released version is a later recording (I'm not), it seems very unlikely there wouldn't be an earlier recording from the TES era. He freestyled verses from No Apologies and Everybody's Looking in the same freestyle with Proof in 2002 (the Funk Flex one). So why would he have made a studio version of Everybody's in 2001 but not get around to No Apologies until years later? Most likely, No Apologies was one of several finished songs he freestyled verses from in the same era. Another example off the top of my head is Bad Influence.
Oct 1, 2025 at 3:14 AM It is quite strange that it’s a song supposedly from TES recording era (not produced by Dre) that doesn’t feature Bass or Head (can you think of any songs pre TES that fit this criteria? Stan doesn’t count ) We don’t actually have the full credits but I’m guessing it’s just Eminem and Resto. We didnt really start getting just those two until 8 mile OST I think, on 8 Mile/Love Me/Rabbit Run, as far as I’m aware. I can’t find any official credits for the Eminem songs on 8 mile either except Lose Yourself, so I’m guessing if Head or Bass was involved in any of those other songs we’d know. If I recall, the No Apologies freestyle in Eminems basement is early January 2002 but correct me if I’m wrong. I’m not sure the date of when he did the weeping willow verse with proof, whether it was 01 or 02. Judging by what we know about No Apologies now, I’m gonna guess it was mostly recorded very late in 2001 or early 2002 towards the end of TES sessions, maybe during the 8 Mile sessions, and was just probably a day or two where Eminem and Resto were just alone in the studio working. Gonna ask Head about Dear Ronnie next. Does it exist, did he work on it, what does it sound like etc
Oct 1, 2025 at 3:56 AM Any chance you could ask if he knows roughly when renegade was recorded (he worked on it) please? that's something i've always wanted to know, but have never seen a definitive answer. people say oct 1999 but that seems too early imo

Oct 1, 2025 at 8:40 AM No Apologies was recorded by the end of 01 and reworked in 05. It was intended for TES. Head and Bass weren't there all of the time. Say Goodbye, Hollywood was produced by Em, but neither Head nor Bass was part of its production. Halie's Song was another Eminem x Luis Resto collaboration without Bass and Head. Same goes for When The music stops and Till I Collapse. So No Apologies was indeed for TES.
