Just saw this, LOL. I'm a "she" yet you're the one deleted your own picture in the pics thread recently, not to mention your post confessing to being a midget after being roundly ridiculed:

Clearly you're very insecure about your appearance and what strangers on the internet think of you. What kind of a man is so uncomfortable in his own shoes? Keep hiding from me in this irrelevant thread and being afraid to tag me, p----.

"Irrelevant thread" when it's the only non eminem related thread to have a pulse is funny

    RIPPER ROO’S RATING: 9/10

This album is so great. It’s exactly the kind of music I needed right now, I’m on this type of timing too. I appreciate and relate to the themes of depression and loneliness throughout. It’s so interesting too to listen to this while I’ve done a lot of major healing this year, so in a way I can look at depressing songs through a bit of a different perspective. Now I can listen to that sort of thing without completely losing myself in it.

Saba’s rapping style is very versatile. He can go from more melodic rapping to more lyrically passionate with storytelling. I’ve listened to him before but this time around I got a lot of Kendrick Lamar vibes which I love. The beats complement his rapping really well in a way that it feels the beats were made just for him. The beat and mood switches work nicely.

That 3 song run of LIFE, CALLIGRAPHY, and FIGHTER is the best part of the album to me. That’s when the album really pulled me in. Overall this is an amazing album with not a lot to complain about @AOTWClub

    @AOTWClub @Jimmy Jazz

I'm familiar with PUP cause they're exactly my comfort zone in terms of musical stylings and heard a decent chunk of this record but was happy to finally give it multiple full listens and it didn't disappoint!

I'm gonna keep this relatively short, all the instrumentation is great, all the riffs are f---ing killer and as i expect from the genre the dumming is great. The singers voice is pitch perfect for the sound. The writing is some of my favorite I've heard in a while, especially in songs like Free At Last, Scorpion Hill, and Full Blown Meltdown. I've always been a sucker for simultaneously upbeat and melancholic songs about how everything is f----- and depressing while not feeling too dour and this album rides that line exceptionally. In all honestly I really like basically every song here, I was mostly familiar with See You At Your Funeral the most of every song here and that song still isn't old to me for the years I've been listening to it.

It's paced really well, the songs thay are heavier like Full Blown Meltdown and the more melodic tracks like the closer City are all perfectly place and sound just as great as the rest on the record. I've had the album saved for a while and it's definitely staying there and in my rotation. Thank you @Jimmy Jazz for the recommendation so I could finally stop being lazy and give this a full shot, I gotta listen to more of their records!

Favorite Songs: Free At Last, See You At Your Funeral, Scorpion Hill (if I had to choose one this would absolutely be my favorite), Bloody Mary, Kate and Ashley, Full Blown Meltdown, City

    RATING
    9.5/10

Deadass almost named every song in order for the favorite songs but cut it the best I could lmao. I'm also understating just how I much I loved the lyrics, got my last listen in just before I wrote the review and I was listening with the lyrics pulled up. A lot of the writing here is hitting me at the perfect time which is something that this genre seems to do to me often which lends me to having such a connection with it. Unfortunate I have to be in a state for this kind of music to hit the way it does sometimes but I wouldn't want it any other way lmao

    Pup - Morbid Stuff Review:

Punk Rock releases aren't all that common these days so it's nice to dive back into the genre. This one was an easy and enjoyable listen. I found it to be a solid record. Some tracks stood out more than others, but there weren’t any bad ones. Just varying degrees of how much I liked each song.

Favorite songs: See You At Your Funeral, Free At Last, Full Blown Meltdown, Bare Hands.

It’s been a solid run of albums lately, and this one was no exception. Thanks for posting @Jimmy Jazz.

Without a shadow of a doubt. Even taking all my haterisms away Charli since the Vroom Vroom EP has been doing more interesting things to push pop in an experimental and newer direction than Taylor ever has. Even her doing a more radio pop sound like on Crash resulted in really great, super hooky material.

I usually expect shorter reviews for the genre cause a lot of it is pretty self explanatory so it just depends how well it hits your ear or not

Ayo how f---ing atrocious are some of these lyrics on the new T. Swizzle album. Holy f---. Sabrina Carpenter seems to have done a lot of damage to this woman by way of sex pop.

    Hoe released some absolute cheeks.

People laughed at me when I said this year Sabrina Carpenter would release a better album than Taylor Swift. Well who’s laughing now?

    Saba - Care for Me
I still remember the first time that I listened to Care for Me. It was early May of last year, and I was driving 2 and a half hours to visit the campus that I study at now. Before starting, I thought "why not, I've been wanting to check this out for a while". This decision led to one of the most vivid listening experiences I've ever had. For miles and miles, all I had with me were the seemingly neverending fields of central Texas, and Care For Me

Similar to Is He Real?, I feel like a blind listen of Care for Me is something that can't really be replicated after the first listen. I knew absolutely nothing about Saba aside from his feature on Chance's "Everybody's Something". The first half is pretty d--- strong, with a pretty good vibe all around. "Broken Girls" has been in rotation for me since my first listen, but "Life" stuck out a lot fo me this time around. The second half is pretty good as well. I feel like Saba really exceeds at coming across as well...normal. I feel like a lot of artists try to sound relatable to the listener by writing lyrics that can be applied to basically anybody. By explicitly tying in his personal experiences into the songs, Saba manages to paint a picture that is vivid, clear, and d--- near heartbreaking at some points...

...and there is no song that exemplifies this more than "Prom/King". Have you ever been left speechless by a song? Cause that's exactly what happened to me. I've already established that I didn't know much about Saba as a person prior to this, so I had no idea where the story was going. The Prom section is equal parts sad, funny, and most of all, investing. Whether it be Saba getting ready for the prom, his encounter with his date's brother, etc. It feels real. And the second half? The come-up of Pivot g---, Walter's stabbing, the final outro..d---. You get so caught up with The first half of the song, that the ending just hits you like a truck man. "Heaven All Around Me" does a pretty good job at closing the record out on an incredibly sad note, with the Walter-perspective of the lyrics surprisingly meshing with the beautiful instrumental pretty d--- well.

So yeah, Care For Me is great, and I think most everybody who's listened to the album can agree with me in that regard. Big thanks to @lowkitz for the pick, and yeah.

Thank you both for the reviews I’m glad that you both seemed to have such a good experience listening to it. First time I listened to this album was around the same time my cousin overdosed and I had just broken up with my first girlfriend and it was just a wild time so this album has a super special place in my heart since I was able to resonate with it so well.
