Oct 12, 2025 at 7:18 AM I like body horror but I can't do a lot of it People consider the "Thorn Trilogy" as 4, 5, and 6 I really really love Midnight Mass but I understand why people don't like it, I find the character stuff and it's views on religion to be super good but the monologuing can be tiring for sure
Oct 12, 2025 at 7:19 AM No its an original story set during the same time as one of the games but with new characters, he described being inspired by Evil Dead 2 in terms of making it a wacky movie which fits perfect for the franchise
Oct 12, 2025 at 8:22 AM Aah yeah w all the remakes and storylines I get the Thorn trilogy. But it honestly is an insult to, especially, Halloween 4. That had nothing to do with the bs and to me it's very close to the original. Halloween 5 already has some hints at a 'supernatural' force/cult (gonna watch it tonight) and 6 is just garbage all over whenever they mention that stuff. Only plus side is Tommy Doyle not being an awkward loser like in Kills lol It's exactly the speeches/monologues that makes me dislike it. Because the story itself, the location etc are amazing. This is also why I'm very scared for the new Exorcist. I think Believer is already too preachy, Flanagan is gonna do even more I'm afraid.

Oct 12, 2025 at 8:52 AM Yeah they wanted to do a trilogy like Halloween 2018, Kills, Ends. But the first one (Believer) didn't do very well so they canceled. Instead, Mike Flanagan is planning to do another one. Personally I think Believer was way overhated, it was no OG obviously but I rewatch it every year around Halloween. Characters are kinda lame and they brought back Chris with no purpose at all just the name. But it has great moments. I am kinda sad it ended before Reagan made a proper comeback
