Lmao But yeah I mean as far as prizes sure critics kinda decide on that but when I check for a movie I always look at the audience ratings. I want to know if people liked it, not if some pretentious snob thinks the landscape is a perfect representation of a 1932 Italy or some bs like that. Especially w horror movies you see it gets such low ratings when most people love it. And they like it if it has some sort deeper meaning, even if the movie sucks. I love RD btw! Kinda figured Alien would be a scifi movie and I don't like those either. But it sure is a nice combination. Are the sequels (noticed they made 28 or something) worth watching? Never watched Predator for the same reason man is it good?
Oct 19, 2025 at 3:51 PM Alien For a 1979 movie they sure did great with the special effects and the creature. I don't like it as much as the other 'classics' but it's a good movie. The doctor being a robot... yeah sure lol. But yeah I enjoyed it 7.5/10 Haunt The second actual Halloween movie this season! It is in some ways similar to Hellfest: they use a haunted house as the main event which is an easy way to provide 'legal' scares. The big difference is that in Hellfest the killer just happens to k--- at a theme park, here the haunted house is used to k---. Solid slasher if you don't expect character growth / an actual story and all that. 6.5/10

Oct 20, 2025 at 6:05 AM Some reviews of horror movies I watched recently: Wes Craven’s New Nightmare - 8/10 This movie was meta as f---. It reminded me of Scream 3 in that sense. I didn’t know how to feel about that at first but eventually I really started to like it. It makes for a creative movie that trips you out and offers some cool twists along the way. Once Heather turned into Nancy it was insane. I was originally gonna give this a 7/10 but the last act of the movie was so awesome it made me bump up the score. Freddy finally felt threatening again. A good movie in this series was needed after the last few dogshit ANOES movies. A Nightmare on Elm Street (2010) - 5/10 Aaaaaaand just like that we’re back to mediocrity. This new actor playing Freddy was not it man. He was not threatening at all. He sounded like a dude trying to be creepy rather than sounding like a dude who’s actually creepy. His voice sounded somewhere between Corpse Husband and Ken Kaniff. I could not take him seriously most of the time. On top of that he was not funny at all. Instead of looking scary, he looked like he had down syndrome or something. All in all the movie wasn’t terrible though, it was just terribly mediocre. There were some cool moments, the ending wasn’t bad, and there was nothing that stood out as truly awful to me. It’s just that most of the movie was pretty boring tbh, I almost fell asleep. The original movie is a million times better than this remake. I wouldn’t mind a new remake, surely someone out there could do better than this.

Unfortunately that’s not really what the actor in the 2010 remake did lol. I feel like he was just trying to be Englund and it didn’t really work. 15 years since the remake is surprising, you’d think there’d be a new one by now especially with the Halloween remake that came out as well as a new Friday the 13th movie being worked on. I guess it’s easier to find actors for Michael and Jason though since they don’t really have any dialogue or much personality. The director of ANOES3 thinks Jim Carrey could pull off the role of Freddy. ANOES 2 Kruger was the perfect one he was Evil whilst still having a slight whit.
