Oct 26, 2025 at 3:12 PM I thought everyone else here would cover the rap portion of the era! A GRODT song right after a RHCP song would go crazy though
Oct 26, 2025 at 8:44 PM I’m gonna copy your aesthetic and have a Carti pfp in the weeks leading up to me seeing him live late next month Roo, don’t take it personal in a few weeks
Oct 26, 2025 at 8:52 PM At least you say it, other people straight up steal my swag. It’s okay, I’m used to it on here and IRL. That’s just what happens when you’re influential. I’m almost flattered by it at this point. I have mfs in my life who straight up ask me how they can be more like me lmao it’s wild. I just tell them to be themselves. Anyway, it’s cool that you’re seeing Carti soon. All the concert footage I see on Twitter looks awesome af. I hope you have fun and I’m sure you will
Oct 27, 2025 at 8:29 PM @AOTWClub Saba - Care for Me Review: The album had a nice chill vibe from start to finish. I didn’t really connect with it personally, but I can appreciate the atmosphere. Nothing on it is bad, but I did find it a bit boring overall. Still, it’s far from a bad listen. 6/10
Oct 29, 2025 at 3:02 AM Idk who here would gaf about Latin vocal Jazz but I just started listening to this and it's actually incredible so far
Oct 29, 2025 at 4:26 PM jankland - NOW THAT’S WHAT I CALL JANKCORE RIPPER ROO’S RATING: 9/10 I love the cover and title. Shoutout Paramore. This is a great way to start off the mixtape round but also a horrible way because I doubt most of the mixtapes will be better than this tbh. A lot of dweebs like to fake it like “iM sO 2000s GuYs!!!!” but jankland is really about that life. We can separate the real from the fake right away. @AOTWClub
Oct 30, 2025 at 7:08 PM Jankland - NOW THAT"S WHAT I CALL JANKCORE I forgot how fun the mixtapes were man. I was pretty hyped to get into this tape. Out of all of the mixes we've had so far, I've probably revisited the songs from A Night at the Section Eighty the most, so I was pretty excited to get into Jank's new tape. The only song that I was familiar with was the NIN song (I also coincidentally listened to With Teeth for the first time this week lmao), so I was going in mostly blind. I'm not sure if this was intentional on Jank's part, but I feel like there's a very clear shift in tone around the time that "Vermicide" comes on. I mention this first because I have to admit that I found myself enjoying the second half more. The first half isn't bad by any means, and I do have to commend Jank for how he managed to make all of these artists fit with each other so cohesively, but that sound isn't really my thing. The second half definitely felt heavier in a lot of ways, and I found myself especially gravitating towards the stretch that runs from "The Hand That Feeds" to "Time of Dying". I had a pretty good time with NTWICJ. I had lots of fun listening to many of these artists for the first time, and big thanks to @jankland for the pick!!! Favorites: The Hand That Feeds, Lay Down, I'm So Sick, Topless Rating: 7.5/10 @AOTWClub @Justin Trudeau
Oct 30, 2025 at 7:27 PM The whole tape was originally gonna sound like the 2nd half but I remember of bunch of what I would call "Fifa-core" music from the late 00s that I really enjoyed so figured it'd be a fun little puzzle to try and make that fit with my original vision. I figured that first leg would be a but more divisive but glad you enjoyed most of it! If you ever need more rock and punk picks from around this time I'm your man. A lot of the 2nd half is just because my brain is 99% Guitar Hero setlists
Oct 30, 2025 at 7:31 PM Fifa core? never heard of this before lol. There's a dad joke layered in there somewhere...
Oct 30, 2025 at 7:36 PM Lmao, it's basically anything that sounds like it'd be on the soundtrack to those games to me. Fifa soundtracks b--- sometimes
