Hopefully getting my review in (w mixtapes I do track by track) on time but very busy atm. I do like most of the songs tho solid tape!

I really enjoyed a lot of these songs and even though 2000s was my era I hadn't heard some of these. The mixtape was very cohesive and well done. As someone else mentioned there's and obvious shift in the tone and it worked. Some of my favorites are: Young Blood Topless On Mercury Feeling Sorry Make d--- sure Glad mixtapes are back its a fun way to check out a buncha different artists! Nov 6, 2025 at 6:06 PM @jankland - NOW THAT’S WHAT I CALL JANKCORE review I’ll start this off by apologizing for taking my sweet f---ing time to review the mixtape. I’d say that this won’t happen again but it most likely will… Similar to the homie Justin, I also went through a naasty breakup a few weeks ago. Was a 5 year relationship so things are lookin blurry and uncertain rn. BUT ANYWAY, let’s get to the music. d---, it’s been a while since I last wrote one of these. Good to be back guys! Excited to pick up from where we left off. Seems to me that a lot of the people on here prefered the second half of this tape, maybe almost drastically so too. My experience, although similar, wasn’t as fragmented. Both ‘segments’ of this tape really clicked with me immediately. I found the opening track to be hauntingly beautiful. While Young Blood was very fun and hit this unnameable spot for me, Tegan and Sara’s The Con proved itself a very dynamic song that did an insanely smooth job of pairing the driving, punchy instrumental with the slightly screamo vocals. Pure electricity. The Florence song, although enjoyable for what it is, was probably one of the very few weak spots for me. I found it to sound a tad derivative of this indie sound that made her as popular as she is. Wasn’t too huge about the ‘Raise it up’ bit, made it sound a bit like an advert for an ISP. Before ditching the track by track approach, I’d like to shoutout the Bloc Party representation. Jank proves once again that his based-ness is ever enduring with a b-----r of a pick that is Helicopter. The run from Vermicide to Topless is just a taste of what the rest of the mixtape would end up shaping up to be in spite of the serene delicateness that’s promised with the intro track. There is some real filth (in the best way possible) that is contained by the back end of this mix, and since I’ve been in the perfect mood for this angsty energy lately, this has checked all the boxes. Some other songs I’d like to shout out are Can’t Be Saved, Feeling Sorry, and MakeDamnSure (this being probably my favorite discovery from Jank’s tape). Oh, and the closer kicks a--- too. All in all, I had a lot of fun with this. Hope y’all don’t mind how messy this review is, some of my sentences just go on for way too long and I cannot help it lol. Big thanks to Jank for putting me on, there are some gems on here that I’d probably never hear otherwise. 8.5/10 @AOTWClub @Justin Trudeau
