Probably not exactly a hot take but I imagine lower volume with high intensity probably gives you a better b--- for your buck longevity/health-wise. You ever used weighted jump ropes? I've been thinking of getting a set from Crossrope.

I agree. Less volume is less strain on the joints in my view. I always aim for a higher intensity quicker work out.

Don’t think I’ve ever use weighted ones no. I’d definitely recommend any jump rope activity though. There’s a reason almost every boxer does it. Great for getting that heart and blood pumping and great for burning calories (if you’re trying to)

Do you try and bicep curl heavy dumbbells off the floor when doing a bench movement or press? What do you think caused it? only time I’ve had elbow pain was for incorrectly lifting the dumbbells off the floor when doing a press, until I realised the most obvious way was to grab them and use leg drive to get them up and on my knees lol

Currently at around 91kg. Which is just over 200lbs. Gonna continue the B*** up until Christmas/New Yesr then start a fresh diet and cut in the new year. Gonna try and drop back to around 82kg (180 lbs). Should take me around 8-12 weeks.

That's definitely better for longevity, don't care what anyone says. I suspect that in the long run consuming extra calories and an overload of protein every day will take just as much a toll on the body as not exercising at all. Low protein diets are underrated:

Best of both worlds = caloric restriction, low protein diet (~9% of total calories) plus regular resistance training. Though I'm not entirely practicing what I preach just yet.

Can’t say I’ve ever really heard of, nor looked into a “low protein” diet. Sounds iffy to me. I currently aim for around 150-200g a day. Once I start my cut I’m gonna try and stay at 200g a day minimum.

Esp low animal protein. Coupled with calorie restriction it may have above and beyond health benefits, basically by forcing your body to go into survival mode. Not anything close to a protein deficiency, and should still be enough to maintain and build muscle. The research on the health effects on humans is still in the early stages but for now it's the science I'm betting on. Anyway, I've always found it extremely difficult to maintain eating 1g per pound of my weight or anywhere near that on a daily basis. Also protein powders are kinda disgusting LOL.
