    Yes
It is a remake of the 1953 film of the same name, itself a remake of the 1933 film Mystery of the Wax Museum, based on the 1932 short story "The Wax Works" by Charles S. Belden. - wiki

    Finally lmao

    Halloween Ends

Opinions are very mixed on this, as is mine still. After a great opening with a twist, a nice throwback scene most of the movie just feels strange. Out of place especially as a 'grand finale'. Corey story is kinda creative but also wrong since Michael didn't 'turn' evil. Corey became evil because how he was treated. Lame comparison. The long boring love story scenes take up way too much time. Scene with the cops death & killing of that dipshit doctor and hot nurse are cool. And sure some cool easter eggs in between at the party and Lindsey being there. Also like the scene w Frank Hawkins and the neighbor woman. But jezus all killed people in this movie are pieces of s---.

Biggest issue for me: it is called Halloween Ends; it isn't until 1 hour and 8 minutes (!) before it's actually Halloween. Then we get like 10 minutes of Corey killing some people (dope kills tho ngl) and then he gets shot by Laurie without any fight lol. Funny thing is, when Michael appears I already forgot about Corey and it finally gets really cool. Dope fight scene, love the little throwback and after 13 or 14 movies someone finally says 'he's not dead enough' and they make sure he's really history. Not a man, but a monster.

Last 20 minutes are great, opening too, the k--- scenes and some throwbacks. The Corey story as I said is an interesting move, but not as a final movie where they also had to make sure Michael and Laurie got their ending. Especially since the whole Corey stuff just gets tossed aside 20 minutes before the end.

Again, I don't know what else they could have done (following the 2018 night was the original idea but it was already november 1st. I do think the title was because of that though) but doing half this and half that didn't work that well. It feels like they were scared to do something else, but also desperately wanted to. Still think it's decent overall though but not great. If it took place on Halloween completely -not just the first 8 and last 25 minutes- I would be happier w it I think. 6/10
