Nov 12, 2025 at 11:01 AM Is there something special about Eminem and the way he writes, or is he a regular Joe Schmo?
Nov 12, 2025 at 11:36 AM The true answer is in the middle. It is not a dichotomous thing. He's a f---ing amazing writer who has genius moments. However, he is not a genius/brilliant writer overall. Case closed.
Nov 12, 2025 at 11:45 AM How can you be momentarily genius? It’s either your a genius at your craft or your not.
Nov 12, 2025 at 11:48 AM Shut the f--- up. It is not black and white. Amazing writers are capable of capturing greatness at a genius level. There is a massive difference between capturing greatness and genius writing occasionally and being a genius writer overall.
Nov 12, 2025 at 12:01 PM He did hit genius level for a good 3 years. For whatever reason he slowly started declining after his peak and although there’s been little tiny spikes here and there, he will never reach or has even gotten close to those genius levels ever again
Nov 12, 2025 at 12:04 PM I think if you can achieve genius level at one moment, you are a genius. One should be measured by the highest achievement.
Nov 12, 2025 at 12:20 PM He has moments where he shows brilliance, and songs that are on that level…but his content is usually some surface level s---. when he does decide to venture out of his comfort zone, like with campaign speech for example, he falls flat on his face his peak is infinite and fack, on these tracks he showcases lyrical brilliance. SSLP was genius because he wrote the whole album high on ecstacy.
Nov 12, 2025 at 1:26 PM Who the f--- said anything about black or white r-----. I said you are either considered a genius or not. Dumb f---. You don’t just have spurts of greatness and that’s it. Did anyone say this about Prince or MJ? No they were greats in thier field thier whole careers cuz they had the talent to back it up. Same with Em. His writing is the same if not even better.it didn’t degrade contrary to popular belief
Nov 12, 2025 at 1:53 PM Content to say he's a genius when it comes to writing rhymes. That alone doesn't mean he'll make consistently amazing music, as we've seen. He puts words together in a way no-one else can though. Full credit to the man.
Nov 12, 2025 at 1:56 PM He's obviously not the brilliant writer he was but he can still be clever. And it's not acknowledged enough that as a producer, he's still got it (Animals, GC2, Antichrist...)
Nov 12, 2025 at 2:58 PM Darkness is a good song example. Well written from start to finish. And that was just one album ago
Nov 12, 2025 at 9:19 PM I apologize because you are r-----ed. Black or white was indicating an either or description. I should’ve dumbed my comment down for you. You are too mentally challenged to understand that an amazing writer can achieve brilliance/genius level writing without actually being a genius. Things in the world aren’t black and white..things are mostly in the grey area. Other words, you can’t simply describe things with a basic dichotomous label. Does your tiny brain understand that?
Nov 12, 2025 at 10:22 PM His way to project his words is what makes him a genius. If you read his lyrics they may or may not sound great. But the way he can pronounce words, layer vocals. Bend the human language. I think all of his little ticks combined when he gets the starts lined up its a solar system
