Nov 16, 2025 at 3:32 AM Burn After Downloading Yes it is all 'old school' rap but love the diversity. Cyrpress Hill song is a great opener. Clockwork, Overkill and Sledgehammer are all new to me! The Nas x Scarface song is on of my favorite tracks ever man. Po Folks is so smooth never heard that either... d---. Never could get into Freeway but this is nice especially the production. Lmao @ Immortal Technique, brings back memories. Years ago I listened to this song and The Cause Of Death a lot. Then I found out especially the latter song was fairy tale stories about conspiracy theories. A shame because the dude can spit! PoNR is nice though as are some others he put out. Recognize another 'new' one for me, nice. Rest are all nice to hear again, been a while. Dope as f--- @Wreckless 9,5/10 @AOTWClub
Nov 16, 2025 at 2:13 PM So we're only allowed to use tracks from 00-10 ? That sucks if so that means I can't make @Yeez listen to onyx
Nov 16, 2025 at 2:14 PM DiggleDogg69 - BORN HALFWAY As a fellow mid 2000's Zoomer, I was excited to dive into Diggle's tape. "Vaudeville Villain" is a great intro, and it's just a great song, period. How it feels to wait for the return of Diggle's Deep Discog Dive The rest of the first half did a good job at compiling lots of Southern classics. I'm a big sucker for Southern rap, so I was keyed in for this whole section. "I Am All Of Me" was a pretty good intro for the more rock-oriented section of the tape, and it's an all time classic in my book. The second half was pretty strong, with the Staind song being the only one that I wasn't that into. Not bad, but not really my thing. Gotta love the choice to have "VCR" as an outro too. I think this tape did a good job at capturing the essence of the 2000's and the divide between Rap and Rock was well done. Great work Diggle! FAVORITES: Vaudeville VIllain, Air Force Ones, Hustler Musik, I Am All Of Me Rating: 9/10 @AOTWClub @Justin Trudeau
Nov 16, 2025 at 2:21 PM Solid album man but I wanted to use Rob n Vic but it's from 1998 Classic track

Nov 16, 2025 at 8:32 PM @AOTWClub Bleeding Edge Review: After a year and a half of AOTW, picking the right music is definitely getting trickier but these mixtapes rarely disappoint. After two listens, this one stood out with a good mix of genres. It opens with some intriguing noise before sliding into a Jack White/Alicia Keys track that I really enjoyed. The cover art gives off major Kanye vibes and speaking of Kanye, it was great to hear an 808 track. Personally, I think 2007-2010 was peak Kanye, so that was a nice touch. One track I wasn’t a fan of was “Machine Gun” but the Arctic Monkeys and Gorillaz songs were both solid and enjoyable. Overall, this is a strong mixtape. Favorite tracks: Another Way to Die, Positive Contact, I Bet You Look Good On The Dance Floor, Bad News, El Mañana 8/10
Nov 16, 2025 at 8:59 PM I’ve got to say, not having a Spotify subscription makes listening to mixtapes kind of annoying since I have to copy and paste each song into YouTube. So whenever someone drops a YouTube link, I’m adding extra points.
Nov 16, 2025 at 8:59 PM Glad you enjoyed the tape! The cover is actually from Daft Punk's movie Electroma, but I can 100% see the Kaye vibes. I could totally seeing him using something similar in the MBDTF era
Nov 16, 2025 at 9:06 PM Now that you mention it, it makes sense. Kanye was borrowing that whole vibe from Daft Punk during that era, so I guess that’s why I always tie it back to him.
Nov 16, 2025 at 10:55 PM That’s right, AN RKO OUTTA NOWHERE!!!!! (Ripper’s Knock Out) DiggleDogg69 - BORN HALFWAY (Hosted by DJ Deegz) Favorites: Vaudeville Villain, Rainbow Colors, Still Tippin', Air Force Ones, Put On, I Am… All Of Me, Still into You RIPPER ROO’S RATING: 10/10!!!!!!! That’s right, a 10/10. I’m pretty lenient with the mixtape ratings but even then this is still 10/10. I don’t have any complaints, and every song is great. Those first 5 songs back to back were crazyyyy. I remember hearing Put On when I was a kid, that hook has to be one of the best hip hop hooks ever. Shout out to that Shadow The Hedgehog song. I actually have the Greatest Hits version of it on PS2. I’ve bought a lot of games throughout my life but some reason the day I got this game always sticks out in my mind. I guess it was just really edgy for the time. Shout out to Still into You. This is another song I would always hear as a kid even when I wasn’t into Paramore. It’s gotta be a classic at this point. This song always randomly pops into my head. Most artists put out a bad song every now and then but Hayley Williams is one of those rare artists I’ve never heard a bad song from. Incredible mixtape bro @AOTWClub
Nov 17, 2025 at 2:49 AM @AOTWClub Killing two birds with one stone today. Born Halfway Review: The tracklist for this tape had me sold before I pressed play. 'Still Tippin' is a classic, nothing more needs to be said. 'I Put On' takes me back to driving around in a shitbox without a licence. It's an all time favorite of mine. “Hustler Musik” is another standout from that era. You’ve got the Foo Fighters, always a welcome addition and Staind’s “It’s Been Awhile” , another awesome track. I’d been saving that album as a suggestion for a future review week. Three 6 Mafia, always a win. As for 'I’m Robbin' I’m on the fence. I keep hearing Young Jeezy’s version in my head and I just prefer the original. 'Get Your Roll On' had me thinking of Midnight Club. I added it to my library right away. One of those songs you didn’t know you knew until it hits. Never been a fan of Tyler, the Creator, but aside from that, this was a fun tape that perfectly captured that 2000s vibe. 9.5/10
