Jan 29, 2026 at 9:53 AM @AOTWClub Also some quick updates regarding tallying (at least until JT returns). I was going to tally Wreck's tape today, but we only have 3 reviews in so far, so I'll extend the deadline until EOD Saturday. For the most part, the default deadline has been about a week and a half, and since we currently have 8 members for this round (7 mixtapes since Diggle is review-only for this one), the tallying for the tapes will be done when one of these scenarios happens: 1. all 8 reviews are in before the deadline 2. If the deadline passes, the score will be tallied once we have at least 6 reviews If you need an extension (like the one Bigfoot had for Jank's a few weeks ago), please let me know! The delay before this round messed up the flow a bit, but I think the momentum is still going pretty strong. Since the deadline for Distorted Reality got extended, the new tallying for Late Night Drive is going to be next wednesday, and the new tallying system will go in effect starting with this Sunday's tape.. There's no pressure of course, but I think this might make things go a bit smoother. Happy listening, and I hope you are all doing well!!! [also, just so we know in advance, the next round is likely going to be another album round in order to keep the 2-2 pattern we've kept up. If there's any diverging options please let me know!!]
Jan 29, 2026 at 9:59 AM The Shelter is a server that I got sent the invite to a few years ago (I tried to find the PM to see who the member was, but I couldn't find it ) It's essentially like a big S80 server. A lot of members on the forum are on it, and JT posted there pretty frequently. There hasn't really been much activity there recently, and he hasn't said anything. I do think that this disappearance was pretty weird. There are a few members who've left the forum, but kept talking in the server, sot he fact that he isn't active on either is especially strange. Hoping for the best, but there's really no way that we can know the current situation unless JT comes back
Jan 29, 2026 at 10:11 AM Oh I remember that server yh that s--- died. RIP Coti and Durag servers too. JT is either dead, hospital or maybe that female he was talking bout has got him tied upside down making him lick between her toes lol
Jan 29, 2026 at 11:02 AM darn it, just when jt and i were becoming friends! fr though hope he’s alright
Jan 29, 2026 at 12:23 PM I know I know it's taken a big hit though Tell Hargy to come bk to the forum man. I got his back.
Jan 29, 2026 at 7:29 PM @jankland - Kyle: An Ode To Love & Drywall Favorites: Fatal Flaw; Self-Destruct; Common Decency; Shaylee, Shanel RIPPER ROO’S RATING: 10/10!!! jankland is the king of this type of music, the tape achieves exactly what it sets out to do. There’s all the emo vibes, the love, the breakups, the depression, the anxiety, the angst, etc. I like pretty much every song here. The only song I had a slight issue with was “Bulls In The Bronx” by Pierce The Veil. I just didn’t like the vocalist’s tone at first, but I warmed up to it a bit by the end. That instrumental switch up also really saved the song for me. I think this mixtape is at its best when the lyrics are saying some real s---. “Fatal Flaw” by Arm’s Length is perhaps my favorite example of real s--- in the lyrics: “I didn't think I'd last this long But I proved myself wrong out of spite, I fear [Pre-Chorus] So I'll apologize in advance to keep the blood from my hands The pain was all but planned [Chorus] Look at what you've done Do you see how far you've come? Romanticize the past for f---ing once You know your younger self would be so proud But you're nothing like them now As you cover and cut off parts of yourself That ever felt, or made you once stand out” If you relate to these lyrics you know how real it is. Not to mention I love how the last chorus of the song changes the first bar from “Look at what you’ve done/Do you see how far you’ve come?” to “Sit still and look at what you’ve done/Do you think you’re too far gone?”. “Self-Destruct” by Origami Angel had some nice lyrics as well. I know this type of sound and vibe isn’t going to be for everybody. I honestly think this is a fantastic tape though. I really didn’t have any complaints besides the one that I got over by the end of the song. For that reason, I’m giving this a 10/10. @AOTWClub reviews for Wreckless and Michael Myers coming very soon
Jan 30, 2026 at 8:39 AM Distorted Reality Most of the things I said about Janklands tape I can say about this one too. It's a solid one, sticking to a theme / sound which is cool. As I said I do personally prefer diversity. Went to a rock festival a few weeks ago, 7 hours of different cover rock bands which was cool but after a few hours I definitely needed a break lol. It also had different type of rock, from more uplifting music to depressed, to screaming s--- -which I do hate-. The different between this tape and jankland one is that his had a little more uplifting songs and this one more dark/depressed. Which isn't good or bad, just a different sound. The opening song and second I liked but I need to be in a certain mood to enjoy it. It's not my music in general. Leader Of The Pack is a highlight, this is more the type of rock I like. It has more energy I guess, if that makes sense. Fine Again another one I liked a lot. Also liked Open Your Eyes. The second Wunderhose song (Butterflies) I sadly like less than the first song. Through and Through also nice. The other songs have a similar tone (to me, but I'm not a huge rock guy so people might call me crazy lol) which is more dark/depressed as I stated earlier. Which is not a bad thing, some of the songs are really cool, but I rather listen to some of those songs followed by something else than a few in a row. Very interesting listen @Wreckless and always good to listen to stuff other than I usually do. 7/10 @AOTWClub
Jan 30, 2026 at 9:04 AM Yeah it's weird indeed. I mean I was 'gone' for months but kept in contact with you guys in Staff sxn.
Jan 30, 2026 at 12:26 PM It’s obvious he only listens to Eminem. Can we just remove him from this thread? It would be nice to keep the one single good, non-toxic thread here. Away from him and the likes of Space Monkey who never add a single positive thing.
Jan 30, 2026 at 12:42 PM u want to talk about music on a music forum? why don’t we just repost threads from 10 years ago instead?
Jan 30, 2026 at 3:49 PM to be fair to Zeb if you just don’t interact with him he does generally just go away and leave you alone. not to blame anyone or anything just saying if you don’t wanna talk to him just ignore him
