Mar 19, 2026 at 6:36 AM @AOTWClub Jay Z - American Gangster Most underrated hov album imo, probably my 3rd favourite of his . No skips, nice soulful production, and hov is arguably at his peak lyrically on this. "Blame Reagan for making me into a monster Blame Oliver North and Iran-Contra I ran contraband that they sponsored Before this rhyming stuff we was in concert" 9/10
Mar 19, 2026 at 10:35 AM Okay this was a lie, my fault. Have a group project and had to restart my progress on my end of it. Gonna try and hit a double feature of both albums tonight, worst case American Gangster tomorrow and not today, Lloyd will be in today 100%!
Mar 19, 2026 at 11:45 PM The Hunger For More - Lloyd Banks REVIEW Score: 8.0 Review: Just a pure 2000s sounding album. I knew exactly the sound that would come from this, and I still really enjoyed it. Liked every track, but I'd say my least fav was I Get High. Both Warriors, Playboi, Karma, Work Magic, If You So Gangsta, When The Chips Are Down are some highlights from me. Great album, great pick! @Justin Trudeau @AOTWClub

Mar 20, 2026 at 12:58 PM Jay Z - American Gangster Favorites: Hello Brooklyn 2.0, No Hook, I Know, Say Hello, Success RIPPER ROO’S RATING: 8/10 I don’t have a whole lot to say about this album. I know Jay Z is one of the greats but I’ve never been able to get that passionate about his music. The album started off weak for me as I wasn’t feeling “Pray” and “American Dreamin'” but after that pretty much every track I liked. The only other thing I’d say is the hook on “Blue Magic” was pretty weak and very basic. I’d say the run from “Hello Brooklyn 2.0” to “Success” is the best part of the album. Every Jay and Wayne collab I’ve heard has been fire, so that track is probably the one track I’ll regularly listen to from this album. Great album but not sure how often I’ll listen to it lol @AOTWClub
