Apr 4, 2026 at 2:51 PM Absolutely. It was so good and catchy I immediately listened to the album again right after hearing it the first time. It’s pretty rare that I do that, I usually like to give myself some time to digest an album after hearing it the first time. What I didn’t expect was her to get so vulnerable with her lyrics, I really appreciated that and it’s so relatable. There even seems to be a story throughout the album. Honestly I have no complaints.
Apr 4, 2026 at 4:54 PM Electric/glitch pop is in such a good place rn, super happy I found out about her.
Apr 4, 2026 at 10:24 PM Oh also this is like a week old but I forgot to say that this album was worked on and released while they were on tour with Tyler the Creator so that might have something to do with it.
Apr 4, 2026 at 11:08 PM The MIKE and Earl Sweatshirt album is decent. The beats on Earl’s disc are better but in terms of rapping and overall song quality it’s a bit more of a toss-up between MIKE’s disc and Earl’s disc.
Apr 5, 2026 at 12:51 PM I was originally going to pick Only Built 4 Cuban Linx, but I've basically had this album on repeat for months, so this just felt right. This one's a bit of a downer, but I hope you all enjoy After the 10 year hiatus after the breakup of previous AOTW Club pick Silver Jews, David Berman returned with what would end up being his final album My pick for AOTW Club is... Purple Mountains - Purple Mountains This one's a big downer as it stands, but it becomes even sadder after learning about Berman's suicide less than four weeks earlier. I'm not sure if "enjoy" is the right word to use here, but I hope y'all have a good time with it. @AOTWClub @Justin Trudeau
Apr 5, 2026 at 2:19 PM I was actually thinking about Silver Jews a week or two ago, interested to get into this.
Apr 5, 2026 at 2:21 PM If we're back to album rotation by October I NEED a spot in that month. Been listening to a Halloween themed album a lot recently

Apr 5, 2026 at 5:51 PM @AOTWClub Olivia Rodrigo: GUTS Review: The album kicks off strong with ‘’American b----’’. I really like female vocals over rock production, especially in the chorus, it definitely gives off early 2000s vibes. I could easily hear this playing in an American Pie type movie. I have mixed feelings about ‘’Bad Idea Right?’’. The “Yes, I know he’s my ex…” part is honestly pretty annoying melodically, but overall the song is still decent. I didn’t really care for ‘’Vampire’’ or ‘’Lacy’’ they’re just not my vibe. ‘’Ballad of a Homeschooled Girl’’ was another standout for me. It leans more into that rock sound again, which I really enjoy. ‘’Making the Bed’’ and ‘’Logical’’ didn’t do much for me either, they kind of lost my attention. ‘’Get Him Back!’’ is pretty decent. Part of the chorus reminds me of another song but I can’t quite place it. ‘’Love Is Embarrassing’’ was also decent. Catchy melody The last three tracks, again, just aren’t really my vibe. Overall, the album is better than I expected. On first listen I had it at about a 6, but it grew on me with a second listen. Favorite songs: American b----, Ballad of a Homeschooled Girl 6.5/10
