Yeah..just curious as to how others are feeling. Got a bit of a problem of my own but nothing extreme. Just figured might be able to lend some insight on some things or vice versa

I'm content with life but there will be a point in time soon where my life will be a bit more challenging. It's a daunting thing to think about but life is meant to be tough.

I'm very okay with certain things in my life, and really f---ing upset with others.

I feel like musically, I'm on a path now where I've got my own sound nailed down and I'm progressing as a producer and getting better and getting my music out to more people, and I've got plenty of time to work on it now interruption free. I've also got plenty of extra money to throw around every month living where I'm living.

On the other hand, where I'm living is s---, and even though this place is starting to look really nice since I can afford to pay for new s--- in it, it's still a one room kitchenless shithole and I still live in a m--- town with no good job opportunities or real ways out. Also, there's pretty much not s--- in the way of dating for me here.

I'm at a crossroads..

I moved states for my girl, and I make more money, have a nice apartment, and a great friend/girlfriend..

but I miss my family and old friends a lot, and haven't had a chance to visit in half a year..

Things are going alright tho

Life is good. These last 12 months have been good to me. I became a father, got married and I'm about to complete my 1 year tour in Afghanistan.

I've struggled with moving forward in my life as well, wanting to do my own thing while simultaneously wanting to capture what I used to have. I've come to the conclusion that somethings are better left in the past. I have friends that I see maybe once every couple years if I'm lucky and when we do kick it, it's like no time has passed. I guess that's my way of gauging how secure my friendships are

I don't know if I'm ever happy, tbh. I live in my head and for as log as I can remember, even when things have been objectively great, it's hard for me to be in the moment and just let things be good. I can notice things about my life that are so f---ing cool, but when I'm in the middle of it I usually just feel like I'm outside the moment, watching everything, detached. I'm almost always just detached.

This summer I'm moving halfway across the country for a good job, doing something I don't believe in (contributing to the growth of the military industrial complex). I'm moving to a much cooler place, but leaving all my friends and most of my family. Everyone else says "congratulations!" and I don't feel that way.

I'm optimistic though. Someday, I'm gonna pull myself together and get this life s--- figured out. It's a work in progress.
