Went to this small downtown theater with my cousin a week back and saw Ex-Machina... and it was f---ing intense. One of the best movies I've ever seen and possibly the best one I've ever seen in theaters. Can anyone recommend me some movies like it?

The Evil Dead (1981) - Still a fun watch.

Gremlins - Another film I hadn't seen in years. Dunno how much of it was nostalgia, but I really enjoyed it.

The Human Centipede 3 - Pile of s---. I get the director intentionally went for the s--- movie vibe, but it was so f---in boring and annoying.

Time is Illmatic - I enjoyed it, i just wish it went a little more in depth about each song on the album. I went and seen him perform Illmatic live a few days ago, which was f---in brilliant though.

A great Noir, and one of my favorites of all time. Lancaster was at the top of his game, great performance.. 9.3/10

    When Marnie Was There 2014
    ★★★★½ Watched 06 Jun, 2015

A beautifully heartfelt poem emotionally conveying feelings both of loss and recovery. The film is tender; 'sweet' would be an apt term to describe it. How it deals with pain and therapy without being overt about mental distress or the magic of the unconscious mind is truly elegant.

    87/100 - Excellent

wow, to say this movie is intense would be an understatement. very over the top. but it was also quite good. great acting all around, particularly from the guy who plays the music instructor. i don't know though, at times it seemed a wee bit too over the top. throwing a chair at the dude? that's bobby knight s---. the dinner scene was great. that was one of the best scenes of this movie. overall, really good. don't miss out on this one.

Through artifice emerges truth. Reality expressed in the tragic eyes of man and son, the loss of moral commitment.

      97/100 - Masterful

    spy - 9/10

usually don't like jason statham too much..Daniel Craig super lite, but he was definitely one of the most memorable characters, delivering some of the best lines in his career in my opinion

don't really know s--- about Melissa either but the humor wasn't cringe at all.

several several laugh out loud moments. highly recommend this.

Watched all four Jurassic Park movies this weekend. The original is the definition of a classic. One of the greatest movies ever made. 3 on the other hand, is one of the the worst movies ever made. 2 is extremely underrated and 4 was a great return to form.

    Jurassic Park 10/10
    The Lost World 7/10
    Jurassic Park 3 1/10
    Jurassic World 7/10

SPY - solid laughs, kind of a mess in the third act. Best thing 50 Cent has done since Curtis.
LOVE & MERCY - exceptional acting, flawed direction. Concept doesn't really pay off.
THE SPECTACULAR NOW - can't believe I slept on this for so long. Strong character film, sensitive storytelling.
THE BLUES BROTHERS - classic. So iconic it's hard to think critically about it.
HIGH FIDELITY - second viewing. Good stuff.
