Jul 1, 2015 Try as I might I could never get into the movies. I will admit that I did like the last one quite a bit. Love the books though..my favorite book would have to be the prisoner of Azkaban or the deathly hallows..every once in awhile I do a Google search in hopes of finding info on her writing a new book in the series. s--- would be epic
Jul 1, 2015 She's writing a new book that's centered in the Harry Potter world... I also heard a rumor that she might write a book series about Harry's childhood, or Dumbledore's past, in depth... JK the GOAT.
Jul 1, 2015 I guess she's writing a play... "Harry Potter and the Cursed Child"... And she made it very clear that it's not a prequel lol http://www.businessinsider.com/jk-rowling-says-new-harry-potter-is-not-a-prequel-2015-6 There's going to be a film trilogy centered around "Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them" Here's the wiki... https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fantastic_Beasts_and_Where_to_Find_Them Also, she has a website dedicated to additional Harry Potter storylines... It's called Pottermore... I haven't checked it out though.
Jul 1, 2015 I had read about the fantastic Beasts..not really interested in that..I want some adult harry potter action with a villain greater than old voldy
Jul 1, 2015 I don't think she'll ever go back to Harry Potter directly. Mostly because, if you really think about it, Harry was never really an elite wizard. Hermione was the best of the 3. They should've just made the last 4 films better. They had tons of opportunities to make the series dark, but failed.
Jul 1, 2015 When Voldemort "returned", that's when they should've really shifted the direction of the movie series towards developing Snape, Voldemort and Bellatrix's backstories. They were all laid out for them. Instead they focused on Harry/Cho, Harry/Ginny, Ron/Some Ho, Ron/Hermione, quiddich, and classroom bs.
Jul 1, 2015 They just rushed through Snape, Voldemort and Bellatrix... You had 3 incredible actors, playing amazing villains... It was a golden opportunity. For a book series that thrived on the relationships of every character, and how they connected, they did a poor job setting up the last 4 movies.
Jul 1, 2015 I think I might of watched 1 or 2 of them. I have zero desire to watch them..I just cant..
Jul 1, 2015 I remember after Goblet Of Fire, being like "d---, this movie series is gonna be GOAT" cuz Ralph Fiennes was Voldemort. Even had the Voldemort avy on RB.
Jul 1, 2015 I definitely agree with this. Snape being killed was rushed as well. Thinking about the fact that he's the actual hero of the story. Same thing goes for the background of Tom Riddle. Always liked Bellatrix, the actress (forgot the name) also did a great job playing Hermione in the Deathly Hallows.
Jul 1, 2015 Goblet Of Fire is my favourite book. Pretty sure Deathly Hallows part 2 is my favourite of the films, but its been a while since I watched through them all. This is literally true for the Harry Potter franchise. Not so much the Deathly Hallows movies, but with the rest it definitely is. Trying to squeeze such absurdly long books into two hour films really f----- them up
Jul 2, 2015 The one thing that really irked me was the ending of the 8th film, how it was so different from the book
Jul 3, 2015 I know this is going to go bad, buut... "Harry Potter and The Methods of Rationality" was far more enjoyable to me then the original stories.. Yes, it's a "fan fic", written by Eliezer Yudkowsky, who is a very intelligent man working in artificial intelligence. So this is no Harry and Hermione fall in love and have cool kids, story. It's longer then the first 4 HP books combined and has a very complex and engaging plot. It does it's fair share of poking holes in the physics of the potter world, but also does a great job applying real world physics to explain magic. A very intelligent story. I tried to post a snippet of when he goes under the sorting hat, but it was too long. Simply check it out here: http://hpmor.com/chapter/10 Really, if you like science, and harry potter, this is the story for you. I'm not paid to promote it or anything lol, I just think every fan should check it out.
Jul 5, 2015 id much rather read the books, but i can see where a movie person is coming from, you get most of the plot in under 2 hours, you might spend 20 hours reading the book... i dno i guess people dont wanna spend that much time
Jul 5, 2015 But from someone who read HBP and seen the movie, how can you be satisfied with THAT particular movie adaptation?
