Jul 2, 2015 July 2nd, 2011 Kendrick blessed us with Section.80 when did you first hear it? What was your first impression? First heard it in 2011 after reading about it on SL and hearing kendrick on Games R.E.D album was what really made me seek out the album. I was hooked from the first track.
Jul 2, 2015 Section.80 was the soundtrack to my summer, one of the best periods of my life up until that point.. I wasn't doing anything constructive nor destructive. Smoking weed, hanging with friends, swimming at the lake by my house.. Section.80 was a part of my everyday life. these days I listen to it and it takes me right back. Could be a top 10 albums of all time for me, just going off nostalgia
Jul 2, 2015 Amazing album. Classic. Got me into Kendrick. Love every song. I own this CD and have it signed by Kendrick (:
Jul 2, 2015 Saw "Kendrick Lamar" mentioned a few times on Studio Leaks, finally decided to check him out. YouTube'd HiiiPower, watched ADHD via related videos. Kendrick's slight accent threw me off at first, but I needed a new album so I downloaded Section.80. f--- Your Ethnicity plays and I'm f---ing hooked. That and Ronald Reagan Era were the songs I used to introduce my friends to Kendrick. Honestly never expected him to blow up like he did. That Hol' Up snippet at the start of the ADHD video
Jul 2, 2015 I also use F Your Ethnicity when introuducing people to Kendrick, its crazy how 4 years later hes still preching that same message as the song just doing it in a variety of ways. I first heard Section 80 almost a year after it came out I had heard some Kendrick but it wasn't until one of my friends told me to check out S80 that I really got into him, I was amazed by it from start to finish. I could just tell their was something different about him compared to a lot of rappers popping up around that time. Just a different level of realness to his music, and thats why Ive been a huge fan ever since I first heard S80, he quickly became my favorite artist
Jul 2, 2015 Heard of if the day it came out. Heard my dude Cole produced HiiiPower. f---ing loved it. Took my awhile to like it more than OF but now it's clearly the better project. Such a classic
Jul 4, 2015 I heard it after listening to GKMC. Loved the chill vibe it gave off and loved most if not all of the tracks on there.
Jul 6, 2015 Actually thought about buying it. Sounds like it's just a KL though. Not fully autographed. I think I may still buy it just for the f--- of it though.
