Jul 27, 2015 If you're not respecting the artist on the stage, the artist has the right to walk off. It was an honest moment. That means it was the right thing to do. Larry David walks off a comedy stage 50 years ago and people still give props for it. Kanye does it and he's a "baby." Stop taking everything so seriously. Not everything that happens needs to be nice and make everyone feel good. Interesting moments are good, too. He's a nexus of novelty exploding right in front of the whole world. Let him let his colors burst, you know?
Jul 27, 2015 And koolo, love you but there is nothing worse than 11 year old white nerds who say eminem is GOAT "because he's the only who doesn't rap about p---- and money"
Jul 27, 2015 Yeah I get this. I'm just saying in this instance it looks more like someone went to work, was met with s-----y attitude and wasn't properly accommodated for. call it whatever you want, temper tantrum, venting frustration, burst of anger. I'm just saying, if you haven't/don't pull something like this at your workplace in your lifetime, you have an extremely laid back/easy/carefree job. I completely understand "be nice to people, period" but I also think we should be more understanding of people, period.
Jul 27, 2015 So, to be clear, kanye throwing a mic was... interesting? i understand its refreshing that kanye isnt some cookie cutter pop act, but surely its come to the point where some of his public antics make u roll your eyes, no? im not going to assume i know whats honest at this point to kanye, let alone characterize him as a "nexus of novelty"
Jul 28, 2015 A few friends were at this show, said he had sick performance, just acted like a child at the end. You get what you expect with Kanye. Good music, sick performance, childish antics/tantrums whenever possible. edit: Just skimmed some posts in this thread... really awkward stuff.
Jul 28, 2015 They did mention it: Also, it's the Toronto Star. Being from Toronto... they would just praise anything that's Pan Am. Check the comments section... most of them call out the Star and talk about the performance. It was even on the news in Toronto that Kanye stormed off stage, performance wasn't up to par, etc. People I knew that went to the show came back with mediocre reviews, and we're all pretty big fans of Kanye's music. I don't think it's that big a deal he ran off stage, but it's definitely a b----/childish move.
Jul 28, 2015 they didnt mention throwing the mic i meant, my b the venue f----- up his already fleeting 15ish min set, and he unceremoniously left (while throwing his mic like plenty of people have done in plenty of different contexts) because of that... yet because its kanye its some sort of breaking news about another one of his "childish tantrums" rofl also, most reviews I read said his set was great until the end? even you said your friends said it was a "sick performance"
Jul 28, 2015 Yea they said it was sick, he was going crazy with his movements, but then he left the stage and there was no proper closing... so that s----d. Especially since a few of them brought their younger siblings to see their first live performance, they felt like they missed out on part of a show because of a technical difficulty and an ill-tempered performer. All in all, it wasn't the best performance, but fun to see Kanye live because they're fans, and the closing mic toss and storm off wasn't exactly out of Kanye's realm of possibility lol Yea, it's not the biggest deal, but it's kinda wack that it happened, both from the technical side and Kanye's side.
Jul 28, 2015 What would you have suggested Kanye do? It seems like it was the end of his set anyways, and that they were under time restraints for the fireworks and s--- (but I might be making that up) Just seems like pointless uproar over nothing, especially by the ones calling him a c---- in this thread lmao
